Ocean Bottle  Brew Vacuum Flask - 12 fl. oz.

First, I like the design of the 360 degree drinkability. It’s very convenient, especially when driving. Secondly, I like that when drinking coffee the flow rate is steady and keeps you from burning your tongue. And thirdly, it keeps your coffee hot all day on those days when you’re so busy it takes all day for you to get back to it and drink. :-) Now, what I don’t like. It tends to leak. I thought at first I was overfilling it, I only filled it halfway. I still leaked most of the time. When examining it further, I think it doesn’t seal properly. In the picture with my finger, I point out the root of the sealing issue Overall, I like it, but I hope the leaking issue gets solved.

There are some things to really like about this flask. The seals are effective against leaks, it disassembles easily for cleaning, the 360 degree drinking mechanism works smoothly, hot drinks stay hot and it supports a good cause (cleaning plastic pollution from the environment). It is narrow enough that it fits nicely in your hand and in all cup holders. There are a few caveats to consider when weighing this flask against others. The primary one is that it is small. It is sold as a 12 oz flask but in reality it cannot hold more than 10 oz without overflowing the lid. If you only drink a small amount of coffee or tea at a time, this might not be an issue for you. However, if you frequently consume or purchase drinks that are 12 oz or larger, you will find this flask to be too small. The other main caveat is that to get maximum environmental benefits from this product, you need to download an app to your phone and log every time you fill it. For those who enjoy the "gamification" or challenge associated with a product like this, it could be a draw. For those who find this annoying or frequently forget to update their use, this product would not be significantly different from another 12 oz flask of similar style.

This is a really solid little coffee mug. I've thrown it around a little bit to test its waterproof chops. And I have to say it didn't leak at all. The design is simple and functional. I like how clean the lines are. Also, it's really easy to take apart and clean. It fits an aeropress perfectly.

I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. I was very intrigued by this “drink from anywhere” design. While good in thought and maybe generally good for the daily commute, what I personally didn’t like about it was that your drinking spout is constantly touched (therefore unsanitary) when you pick it up and twist to open it. There is no way getting around touching the lip you drink off of and opening the valve. Maybe I’m just a little bit of a germ phobe but that bothered me. The other thing I didn’t like about it was that I brought it with me camping and ash and dust would settle in the top, meaning I would have to blow it out or wipe it off before drinking. I did love the size for coffee and tea and it kept drinks hot. The flow through the spout was also pleasant but not enough to outweigh the unsanitary aspects of the cup.

The Ocean Bottle Brew proves to be a decent flask if your primary need is a reliable container for your tea or coffee on the go. Its standout feature is its exceptional leak-proof design. However, I feel that the drinking experience might leave something to be desired. What I Loved: - Absolutely Leak-Proof: I've carried it in my backpack on numerous occasions, and I'm happy to report zero leaks. The lid construction is clearly well-engineered and does an excellent job of creating a secure seal. - Spill-Proof in the Car: For those who like to sip their beverages while driving, this flask offers a significant advantage. Even when left unlocked for easy access, the lid's design, with its tall walls, effectively prevents spills while driving on bumpy roads What I Didn't Love: - Awkward Drinking Experience: I found the wide lip of the flask somewhat awkward to drink from. It didn't feel particularly comfortable and made for a less enjoyable sipping experience. - Dirt and Dust Collection: A minor but noticeable drawback was the tendency for the wet surface of the lid to collect dirt and dust while drinking. This required occasional wiping to keep things clean.

Love how this keeps my coffee ready to drink and then with to chilled water for the rest of the day. The wide opening makes drinking so much more enjoyable than traditional bottles / flasks! No spills or leaks so easy to carry all day!

The seal doesn't work. It doesn't let coffee out and it's super hard to get lined back in.

Love this Brew flask! It’s awesome, it helps the planet, it’s so easy to drink from and I’m so confident It would leak I have no problem putting it in my bag… easy 5 stars
