  • Small-scale purse seines reduce bycatch and prevent over harvest
  • Processed, seasoned and canned by a family-owned Certified B® Corp, also in northern Spain, that employs mostly women

Easily the best sardines in the world

Flaky, not mushy at all. Flavor taste more like something you would have for a meal than what you would expect from a can of sardines. Whenever it's in a group of sardines being reviewed it is in the top two every time. And this was my first time trying them. I can see why. PATAGONIA might be lowering quality standards (insisting that cotton is an acceptable cold-weather fabric contrary to their "cotton kills" media campaign in the late 90s) in exchange for their environmental/political agenda for the time being, but they haven't lowered the quality of their sardines. This is easily the best kind of sardines I've ever had (I have had hundreds)

Patagonia Quality Proves Out!

I found these sardines to be more tasty and less "fishy" tasting than any others I've tried. Then I thought that Patagonia, with its emphasis on quality in all it products, had probably done the due diligence to make sure the olive oil was not adulterated with cheaper oils. Hope I'm right!
