Stoked to be part of the wolfpack
This is my third GreenJacket, second LE version. First was a hand-me-down from my husband, which I wore for one season to figure out if it was the right fit and function for me as a woman and a rafter, not a kayaker. I'd previously had an Astral Sea Wolf, but I needed to upgrade to a Type V vest for bigger water and rescue scenarios. First new-to-me GreenJacket was the LE11, which I purchased prior to joining my local mountain rescue team in 2019. I'm small chested (34B bra size), so I didn't need a women's specific vest. I've rowed hundreds of miles, paddle guided, swam rapids and rigged ropes in the LE11, and it's the most comfortable and capable PFD I've owned. I was stoked that the release of the LE15 coincided with needing a new PFD because the graphics are killer. I haven't taken it on the water yet since we are heading into winter here, but the fit is the same as my previous GreenJackets, cozy like a hug, awesome range of motion and supportive enough that I don't have to wear a bra if I'm not feeling it. The knife attachment on the front of the clamshell is still in a terrible spot for rafters, as it gets caught in the perimeter line of my raft when I'm trying to pull myself out of the water and into the boat, so I wear my knife on one of the side straps. Not ideal, but I've yet to find a better spot for it that isn't in the way. Happy with my purchase so far, looking forward to testing it out next spring.
