Not exactly waterproof

I love Altra trail runners, so I tried this hiking boot. Everything was great for a few days, until I walked my dog on wet grass and trails. Almost immediately, they started leaking like crazy through the uppers. The last time I wore them it took 2-3 days to dry the insides. Needless to say, they went back.

Much smaller/narrow then previous model

The sizing on these are way off compared to previous models. The same size I've been wearing the previous all-wthr and other lone peak models is uncomfortably small.

Altra DOES NOT make waterproof boots or shoes

Altra does not make waterproof boots or shoes. I contacted their customer service and was told to get a waterproof spray for their “waterproof” Lone Peaks that I paid $180 for.

Supremely comfortable, secure, and solid

My absolute favorite pair of shoes, these are comfortable, secure, and feel really solid, and have become my go tos for errands and hikes alike in the Minnesota winters.

comfortable with good grip

These shoes are comfortable, broader at the front makes it easier on the toes. The grip is good, not the best but good enough.

They're alright

I have wide feet and a low arch. These still felt kinda ploddy. I like the cushioning of Brooks or Hoka more. These would be good for a 20 something year old who runs up trails and walks down. The grip is good but the midsole leaves me wanting. They're lightweight. I'll probably just use these for easy walks and hikes. I'm not going to run in them and I won't buy Altra again. I gave them 4 stars as a gratuitous review for their grip and lightness.
