Works, after mastering butane canister insertion

Initial challenge inserting a butane canister to the adapter but after a few tries you'll get the trick. Stove fired-up as expected and works great. I save my iso-butane canisters for colder weather and use butane at time.

Allows me to use canister stoves with butane.

I purchased this so that I could use my canister stoves with butane tanks. Works perfectly. I also purchased a 1 pound propane-to- butane adapter that is regulated so keeps the pressure down. The regulator is also a remote hose so it keeps the propane bottle away from the flame. I also wanted to have a backup in case of emergency. I keep 1 lb propane canisters, I subutane, and butane. I wanted the versatility to use butane with my canister top stoves. I will say this, the stainless steel mount is a little tight. Works fairly well for butane canisters but if you're going to attach and adapter, you may have to take a screwdriver and slightly bend the flange out. Not much, just enough to allow it to slide freely. Sounds like a big deal but it it was easy to do. It's a nice stable base. I've used it multiple times just for cooking on the back patio. I haven't had an opportunity to take it into the field yet but I'm sure it will function well. The feet are not adjustable but they do have a notched grip on the bottom so they don't slip.
