I tried these poles out in the REI parking lot right after I picked them up. I could not work out how to get my hands in the wrist straps and if there is a left and a right strap. It's all just black! The Leki Trail Shark grip-strap system is way better. Also have fitted together the three Komperdell pole sections I could not figure out how to pull them apart again. So, they went straight back into the store for a refund and I bought some excellent Leki poles instead.
