Great Deal for a Good Quality
I had previously purchased this when it was full price and had recently lost it after over 2 years of use. was super shocked to see it so discounted considering how much I originally paid for it, and decided to buy it again hoping for that reliability I loved from my original one. I am super happy with my purchase and recommend this for anyone first getting into camping or for anyone who wants something reliable for a good price!
Great Lantern
Our home power went out for 2 days and we decided we better get a backup light for both home and camping. This was on sale on REI and appeared to do everything we need. It is not listed on the Nite Ize web site but appears to be a slightly smaller version of the RL2. It is plenty bright with 3 settings + amber for lower light and longer life. The small size, rechargeable, and adjustable light output make it a keeper. We ordered another one.
A perfect camp and emergency light!
Small & Powerful
This replaced a propane lantern after I got sick of mantles, single use tanks, etc. At max the propane unit might be slightly brighter but this worked fine for making and cleaning up dinner after dark. I wish it used a USB-C, the ancient connector on the unit shows this isn’t this year’s model. It charges quickly (a few hours up use took less than an hour to charge) but faster and current technology would be even better. Past that it is silent, easy to use, less then 1/4 the size and weight of the propane lantern with tank and it is far easier to adjust the light output. No solid data yet but looks like the battery will last through a long night, maybe even longer.
Nice, small and works well!
Nice, small and works well. Light is bright. Good for camping and for power outages at home. Well worth the price. A plus it can charge a phone!
Useful little portable light
this is both a lantern and battery. comes with carrying case and charging cable that doesn’t quite stay in the little exterior pouch presumably intended for the charging cable. But I love it. Kicks out a decent amount of light given the size, and it’s can-sized, so does not take up much room (has clip at the top if attaching it to the exterior of your bag).
