The tent is light and easy to set up. It took me just 5 minutes to set it up during the rain. The size ideal for one person. Two people will fit in, but there will be not much room left on the floor. The tent has two entrances/vestibules - the zipper runs from top or the bottom. I liked that the floor was dry after being placed on wet grass for two days. The construction seems to be sturdy enough for a modest snowfall; the snow accumulated on the top and then slid on a wall down. When folded the tent takes little space.
Mountain Hardware mineral king all season is a very spacious and durable. Once you set this tent up you will be safe from strong winds, heavy rain and even in snow. Also it is very easy to set up and the materials they use in this tent is a high quality and sturdier. So far this tent didn’t fail me that’s why I would highly recommend this tent for those who do serious car camping. This tent will be last for years and years of camping. Buy this tent if you can afford it because this tent is super easy to assemble. Now I got the MHMK2 I’m a happy camper .
This is an awesome tent! I’m out in Alaska & wanted to get into winter backpacking, since this is 4 seasons it checks all the boxes for me! Tested it out in the backyard at around -10°f with one of my friends and we were completely comfortable the whole time. Being a little over 6ft the ceiling space was really nice as well, I wasn’t rubbing my head against the top compared to previous tents. Great purchase that also doesn’t break the bank compared to other 4 season tents!
EXCELLENT TENT!! Set-up super easy for one person, even easier with two people, quality built!!
I had a Walrus Warp 2 that I loved, but through moves and a marriage to a non-camper, it was sold for some ridiculous low price in a lawn sale. So I searched high and low for a replacement with the same details - walls, not screens for walls as in a 2 season, solid construction, options for extra space within, cooler weather camping, hanging slips and pockets to store lightweight stuff - this hit the nail on the head. Comes with footprint and rainfly - a requirement in the Northeast. A little concerned about the plastic parts - clips and center crossover connector where the tent "hangs" from at the very top (I think I can recreate it out of metal if I have to) but all in all, a great tent! Set it up in my living room as a trial run and it was way easier than the Walrus with the pocket sleeves for the poles.
Have not used it yet but material and design definitely high quality. Not the lightest tent but still plenty light for backpacking. Will be nice to have all season tent for bad weather.
