I purchased this a little while ago, and have utilized this bag about eight times since. It is supposed to be rated at 20 degrees (It really isn’t able to keep you warm at 20 degrees, as it hasn’t been able to keep me warm at 60 degrees) Also; the zipper often snags when opening or closing. It is a comfortable bag (though on the heavy side) the extra weight would have been worth it if it actually kept you warm at 20 degrees. I will be switching to a down bag that’ll be far closer to a true rating than this synthetic bag can ever provide. Anyhow, for car camping this bag is fine, and for backpacking I’d not recommend it.
Better than I expected. Very fluffy and warm, did camping at a festival which was in the low 50’s. Didn’t want to leave the bag for how warm it was inside
Very comfortable sleeping bag. I needed a warmer weather bag and the loft is perfect. The fabric is very comfortable. There is a zipper along the entire left side, and there is a shorter zipper on the right that allows you to fold the upper part of the bag back if the weather is warmer. Top quality.
We just returned from a camping trip in the high Sierra Nevada mountains where is was in the high 20s to low 30s at night and these North Face Wawona bags performed very well. I highly recommend them.
I have finally found my perfect Sleeping Bag. Color is sweet...orange zipper with pull tabs that are nice and long with the North Face Logo...durable ..large zipper that works smoothly...go slow and it shouldn't get caught. Soft Fleece for shoulder and head area, also has a side smaller zipper that can be unzipped for more air or comfort. Has inside pocket for whatever. Material is durable and soft ...not scratchy sounding. Zipper for feet clearance if needed.Has a carry bag to store SB in. This bag has comfort and using so far to sleep on cot in home. HAven't camped with it but I'm 100% it will be a great bag to be cozy in.Zipper has soft guards as not to scratch face. This North Face Wawona SB will be my last bag I purchase as I'm finally comfortable after so many SB's given away. Regular bag at right side zipper and 5'9 @ 180 lbs.I LOVE IT !!
Very comfy and pretty warm, although I've only used as low as 50F. Still had to unzip as this thing heats up quick. The lining material is very soft. Rectangle design is very roomy, but if you move a lot in your sleep may not be the best as the shape is more prone to twisting up around you than a mummy bag. Takes up a lot of space when packed; if you plan on backpacking with it you definitely need to buy compression sack.
I have two of these. Not sure why purchase history only shows one. I’ve used them for 6 months in a van. Bag is comfortable, but the zipper snags with every pull. Zipper grabs fabric every pull. Giant PITA. Because of the zipper the bag is useless junk.
This is a good, simple sleepting bag and I purchased it because it can completely unzip to become a comforter/blanket
