Used these on our trip to Yosemite. Toe is separating after just a few days. Other then that the are easy to get on and off.
I bought 2 pair of this shoe a couple of months ago for myself, one in women's and one in men's. I broke out the women's pair yesterday for a moderate 9-mile hike - no scrambling or scree on a well maintained trail. The shoes fit and felt great. I took off the shoes post hike to fine the left sole delaminating from the sole! After ONE hike! I can't trust the shoes on a longer, multi-day, or technical hike. Really annoyed at my waste of money!

This lite weight hiker is great on the trail and in the water. In the spring, summer & fall my pup & l are creek walkers and never miss a chance to cool our feet in the creeks & rivers along our hiking path. The sole is strong & sturdy enough for most hiking terrains and drys quickly when wet. It’s never water logged.
Thank you for the fantastic feedback!
I have these in fuschia or raspberry red. Not only is it a fun color to wear but the shoes are comfortable, lightweight, and feel supportive. I like everything about them--fit, material, tread, convenient and easy put on. Took no break in time. I am in love!
We're happy you love them Jan! Thanks for sharing!
I ordered my usual size, but the shoe feels a little short. I would order a size up. Also, if you have any limitations with hand fine motor skills, the tie feature is probably not for you. I have to hunt down a tool to move the tighten/loosen feature--which doesn't stay on the loose unless you hold it (oh, no, I´m going to be stuck in these shoes for the rest of my life!). If you pull to tighten too much, they are uncomfortably snug and there is a lot of adjusting to get them to somewhat comfortable and supportive. I've only worn the once, so I cant attest to wear.
I have always dreaded wearing any type of closed-toe shoe. They have always hurt my toes, it didn't matter the brand or size. My toes would be unbearable after 30 minutes or so. I bought a pair of these to go out West, some of the areas require you to wear closed-toe shoes so my hiking sandals and socks were out. These shoes feel great, I can wear them all day long without any pain. It only took me 68 years to find a pair of closed-toe shoes that I can wear. I ordered two other pairs so now I have them in all three of the colors that were available so I don't have to wear the same pair of shoes more than one day. I am a big proponent of wearing a different pair of shoes each day as I feel they make the shoes last longer and that alternating the shoes are better for your feet. Thank you Merrell and REI!
Just what I was looking for! I wanted something lightweight, with good ground feel (I can't walk in stiff shoes) and traction, breathable, to use on light and moderate trails as well as everyday wear. The toe box accommodates my wide, arthritic, feet, the laces adjust for my high instep. They offer moderate, comfortable support. In the summer a light sock works, but there is room for a heavier sock for colder days. Perfect, versatile, three season shoe.

Finally got these out of the closet. I went on a hike with them and they are the most uncomfortable Merrill I have ever purchased It feels like there is zero support in them. I got a blood blister on my right foot, the ball of my foot throbs now. This has never happened before. Very disappointed and wish I did not purchase them. I would love to exchange them for something more comfortable I have a 2
We're sorry these aren't working out for you and appreciate your feedback. Thank you.
I absolutely love these lightweight flexible shoes; they have a lot of non slip grip for all kinds of weather. I wear them on the job as a City Letter Carrier. My work involves walking through landscaping, wet and snowy pavement, rain, and lots of dewy grass. These shoes remain comfortable through it all!
