Not the usual heavy duty PVC ground cloth I have.
This brings new meaning to minimal tent floor protection. About the thickness of 30 gallon outdoor trash bag. I still have the ground cloth from a previous tent and there is no comparison. The older one is heavy duty, a missed stick or rock under you tent wouldn’t tear it. This cloth is thinner and the material nowhere near as resilient.
Finally the Wawona 6 Footprint
I was getting ready to just make the footprint from Tyvek I have, but it’s nice REI was able to stock this footprint for the Wawona 6.
It's a footprint!
This is the footprint that goes with the Wawona 6 tent, and it works just fine as a footprint. Seems to be the standard thickness and the grommets appear to be good/strong quality. The price is pretty steep for a fancy tarp, but if you want the matching footprint for this tent, this will work!
Functional, as it should be
Works great as a footprint, as expected. I know previous reviewers have complained about stock availability, but in terms of product quality I have no complaints. Grommets are accordingly color coded to the tent poles, which is greatly appreciated.
It does what it's supposed to do
I used it on my last camping trip. It was easy to set up with my Wawona 6 tent, but the floor was still damp didn't give much protection.
