Fantastic all round comfy/light/stiff boot.
Bought these end of 2024 season. Great fit. Had a few hot spots which I had punched out by an expert. Expert stated very hard material to punch however possible with a little patience. Ski super well. Super comfy up and downhill. 5/5 stars.
Great Boot — Have tried the m all
Bought these for E. Sierra May 2024 trip— very very solid. I’m 6’3” | 210lbs and these didn’t blink. Light, comfortable, great on gravel trail, scrambling boulders, skin track, boot pack and descending. I’ve owned lighter and heavier boots in the Dynafit line up and other brands. This boot is my favorite by far
BEST BOOT EVER!
Another amazing masterpiece by Hoji (and team) as far as I'm concerned. Right out of the box, no liner heat mold fit very good after just the first 2k vert. Slow start to the year so far with 13k vert, no lift served and excellent for the up and solid for the down. Up: toe box just roomy enough for good circulation, moz cable lacing is so nice for micro adjustments allowing good circulation but firm fit keeping foot in place like a good hiking boot. Down: "rear buckle" and moz cable lacing combination are perfect with an all around solid hold without killing your foot, and toe space remains good with no loss in performance. A genius combination really. A little bit of leverage for the cuff strap rather than just velcro could be nice, but that'd add weight, and really once it's set for the first downhill you're pretty much good to go. Combination makes these an all day in the mountains and being able to rip on the down kind of boot. Buy them! Just make sure to leave a pair or two for me since I'm going to buy them again which will be a first for me. For reference: 4 seasons with Hoji FREE (lots of fit work, and the previous favorite) Tried and sold the Tigard 130, last season, poor fit and not worth the work Huge fan of the HOJI Lock with the solid ski mode, more upright stance and very good ROM in walk mode unless you're on flat for a long time. Scarpa have typically fit me well, but I'm a Scott fit well, but last width usually sloppy and broken walk mode, etc
