Loved these shoes. Definitely hurt a lot when trying to mould them. My street shoe size is 40.5 but i got a 40 and i was dying. After the broke in,i climbed in these so much better than my kubos. Wore through the toes in 2 months of climbing 4-6 times a week 4-8 hrs a day. YMMV but i think it was money well spent. Got them onsale with additional 20% off. Worth it for me.
Absolutely loved these shoes.came from a pair of kubos, these really hurt my feet at first but after they broke in i was able to stick on much more foot holds. Smearing was beautful and i could trust my feet most of the time (exceptfor really rubbery chips where i couldbarely get any rubber on). Burned through the toe rubber and the sides of the toe box started un glueing / peeling after 2 months going indoor climbing about 4-5x a week. Seems decent for the volume. Considering resoling
Love this shoe but it’s falling apart after 3 days of use. The sole is disconnecting from the shoe.
I have a climbing shoe addiction, so there are always too many options in my pack. I'm guilty of bringing 2-4 pairs of climbing shoes to the crag every time I go climbing, and I always like to include the Genius. This shoe continues to surprise me with what it can do, and what it can do well. I'm on my 3rd pair now, and they're on their first resole, a major bonus for these particular shoes (factory no-edge Vibram XS Grip II soles are available). Durability is amazing, despite the fact that these are some of the thinnest soles on the market. The front tip of the shoe is wrapped by the sole, which protects the rand and expands the climbing surface area of the shoe. It increases what you can do with your footwork and how you can maintain tension/pressure without damaging the rand rubber. They take some time to break in, but once you're there, the fit is exceptional. I like to use these for hard sport climbing, but they can jam cracks really well and smear on desert sandstone better than almost anything else. Stiff enough for support on roped climbing, and soft enough for delicate footwork, there isn't much this shoe can't conquer. My favorite application is granite, these stick to anything with crystals.
