Super comfy, hiking pant. But getting the right size took 3 tries. Usually I wear an 8 so that's what I ordered. 8 didn't fit right so ordered the 10, same again... finally ended up with the size 12!

Beware of Sizing

I really, really love these pants and I wanted them to work so badly... HOWEVER, buyer beware of the sizing. I'm a newly rejuvenated hiker (recently retired, age 66) and I have some weight to get off. Everything else I ordered from REI was size 18, and everything else fit perfectly. But as other reviewers mentioned, these pants run small and you should order at least one size up. Since REI doesn't offer size 20, I rolled the dice and ordered a size 18. Except for the waist and lower belly, the fit was perfect. But the tight waist and belly make these a no-go for comfortable hiking. I'm going to keep them because I love them and I'm hopeful I will lose enough weight for these to fit. REI, please consider carrying a size 20 since this is a known issue!

Great hiking pants, used for 5 days of the Salkantay Trail in Peru. Though they got very wet and dirty, by the next morning they were ready to wear. The only part of my kit that didn´t stink by the end.
