Nice athletic warm pant for all activities

I’m 6’3, 32 waist with medium sized calves and quads and these fit nicely with the length slightly above the ankle. A trimmer fit but not super tight. Works well for runs, hikes. Zipper pocket fits enough to get by. No problem getting cold on hikes, bikes, down to zero degrees. Range of motion is good when you are doing activity so there isn’t a restricted feel.

Fav' cold weather running pant!

The Norvan Insulated pant has become one of my favourite products this Fall season. It is ideal for conditions 0 degrees or less. I find the fit quite comfortable and does not inhibit my stride. Thanks to the zip it is easy to slip these pants on and off while wearing shoes. A great layer on its own or as an emergency layer for cold weather running.

Slim Fit not Standard Fit

These pants did not work for me. Of course, the quality appears to be good; it's Arcteryx. I don't agree with the "Standard" fit label though; they are more of a very slim fit. As an ultra-runner, I can typically wear slim fit items but not these. 6'1" 182 lbs. 33.5" waist. I couldn't even get the leg zips closed past the halfway mark. I like that the leg zips go almost to the knee but if you can't close them because it's a super-tapered jogger fit, it makes no difference. As an ultra-runner, I don't have large/muscular legs. My quads aren't big, but my calves are larger than normal. The size M (34"waist) felt snug, upper legs were constricted, and lower legs were a no-go. Inseam appeared to be about 29-30". The front panels of the pants do have extra padding/insulation, but you don't notice it after putting them on. I'll stick with Smartwool products; even on the joggers, I have no issues closing zippers or otherwise wearing their products.

The athletic pant search is over

I’ve been searching for the perfect athletic pant/jogger for quite some time now. Raging from Patagonia to lulu lemon, none seemed to hit all the check boxes for me, especially when it comes to fit and style. I’m happy to say the Arcterryx Norvan pants are exactly what I’ve wanted. Perfect tight fit, great range of motion (back zip pocket eliminates any side pocket sag or loose feeling) and fantastic quality. The small size fits perfectly for 5’10 167 32 waist.

Great Winter Pant!

So far so good! These pants are fantastic for XC Skiing and Winter Running. I ordered a medium, (6'5, 180lbs) and they fit well. They are a shorter pant, but that not a deal breaker when you pair them with winter footwear. As other reviews mentioned, pockets would have been nice. But I find I can fit my phone into the back stuff sack pocket. My only quam with these pants is that my butt gets cold. There is no insulation on the back end of the pants. I wear a merino base layer to keep the cheeks toasty. Very happy with these!

Great fit. Wish they had pockets.. were warmer

These fit really well. Slimmer athletic fit. I think my biggest gripe is that I wish they were more like previous gen where they were warmer, stretchier, and softer all around the leg, and with front pockets. I also don't really love the side ankle zips. Most people are wearing running style shoes, not high rise boots... I'd rather have side pockets again than those zippers. I do like the insulation on the front of the legs, but was hoping for more warmth all around, gets chilly on the back. Overall kind of disappointing.

Great fit!

Finally I found a pair of Arc’teryx pants that aren’t super long. I’ve only had them for a short period of time. They’re comfortable and warm. Material is nice and decent quality. They’re incredibly thin, but the front of my legs are warm. I do wish the insulation would cover more in the back. I’m looking forward to wearing them when it gets colder. I just hope Arc’teryx makes more pants that do not have extremely long inseams.

Awesome fit based on size chart. Love em.

Love these for around town and easy runs for an hour. The fit is amazing and an athletic fit so my quads arent on show like tights. I have a 33” waist (5’7”)and purchased the Medium which fit beautifully. The insulated pieces are in the perfect spot to block wind and let moisture escape on the back end. Should have bought a second pair as everything about these are on point including the fabric.

Excellent cold weather running pant from Arcteryx

The Norvan pant kept my legs warm at temperatures in the single digits and is even effective at blocking moderate wind. The sizing was just right for me, but not my usual size. I am just under 6 feet and ~175 and the large fit the waist with a little room and the length is just right, if a little short. Anyone taller would want a 'long' (if they make it) or perhaps an XL.

Excellent pants!

These have been perfect for the days that are cold a wet in the pacific northwest. I appreciate the front of the pants as a barrier and the breathable material to let the heat out. I've ran in these for two winter seasons now and haven't had issues with chafing or the material breaking down too quick. Great pant for the days that are harder to get out on :)
