Why did I ever leave Timberland boots!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had my first pair of Timberlands boots over 25 years ago. I freaking loved those boots back then and I wore those things down to absolutely nothing! I'm ashamed to say that somehow and in someway I got away from the company that served me so well! This is absolutely True as the day is long and I have no excuses for wasting my time and money on some of the others that are out there! Well, I've found ALL the blessings once again with Timberland and I'm here to stay! Just listen- Don't waste your time and money when you can utilize all the Quality and Workmanship right in front of you that's needed in a fairly priced package! Good job Timberland, keep it up!

I loved these boots but they are shoddily constructed

I wore these most days for two years - mostly office work, occasional motorcycle riding, and a couple trips that included short hikes (2-5 miles). They look good - I love their style. And the leather is fine-enough quality and it got a very nice patina. That's what makes their terrible construction quality when it comes to the sole so upsetting. Before the first year was up, the laces were tattered and had to be replaced with $7 laces from the largest department store in the US that held up infinitely better. By the time the second year was up, the metal shank in the right boot had snapped and the leather had come unsealed and nearly completely separated from the heel of the sole. When I took it to the cobbler, they said they couldn't fix it and that I should get boots with a full stitch-down construction if I wanted something "resoleable" and repairable. Very disappointing because I loved these boots so much... now I have to spend my weekend looking for new boots that should last 5+ years, spend more money with a different brand, and hope that I can find something with the style I like.

I love these boots!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these boots. I'm hesitant to order footwear online, you're not exactly sure what you're going to find when you open the box. But these boots are a work of art. The leather and craftsmanship are top-notch, even the stitching is stylish. They were comfortable when I first slipped them on, but after a two-week break-in period they're even more comfortable. Great for everyday wear, walking the dog, hiking, traveling. The waterproof leather and sole's traction will be perfect for the upcoming winter. One of the best purchases I've made. #sweepstakes

disappointing

Inner sole cushion is very thin and there is not much of a sole support. The cushion comes barley glued down, it can be lifted out of a new shoe. The shoe leather is paper thin and doesn't seem like it will hold up very long. The depth of the outer sole, bottom of shoe is too thin, I don't see this lasting long. The stitching around the sole will not keep water out well. I am returning them. Disappointed because they look nice but not sturdy as I hoped for and need.

Sturdy Boot, Not Too Casual

It's a very nice, well made boot. It's a little bulky to be considered casual footwear. It's slightly industrial in appearance as well as in function. The interior is roomier than my other Timberlands. Out of the box it feels slightly loose on my feet even when tightly laced. I replaced the insoles with thicker insoles, which improved the fit on my feet. I have slightly narrow feet.

Look great. Expected better durability

Had these 2 years and they still look great and the tread on the sole has held up well. Unfortunately, the glue securing the sole to the back portion of the heel of the boot has separated on both boots and now slaps around like a flip-flop. As a long time Timberland fan, I expected them to hold up a little better than this.

I would not buy this product again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a everyday shoe to be worn in the office and the field. Gave me a sore on my ankle the firs day , and customer service said sorry if you wore them we cant help you. Timberland the company is what I'm disappointed in. They do not stand behind customer satisfaction.

Quality and Appearance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a male, 5'11 height and wear a size 12 in all footwear. The boots are very comfortable while walking short and long distances. They look great and detailed to perfection. I receive many compliments throughout my daily travel. I am very happy with my purchase.

A no regret purchase

I've always been a difficult size. I usually buy in-store so I can try the shoe on first. I liked the look of this boot so I winged it. The fit was great. Not only does it fit great but it looks and feels great. 3 thumbs up
