Great work bag, a bit small
My backpack was recently stolen and I was too heartbroken to buy an exact replacement so I’m giving this one a try instead. Yay: - My favorite color - Lightweight, great laptop for work - Waterproof pocket - Luggage strap - Hidden pocket in arm straps Could be better: - Not much volume, I like to bring an external keyboard and mouse and I think it’ll look quite bulky with this bag - Hidden pocket in straps is really small - my AirPod pros barely fit - The material for the compartment laptop sleeve is a bit unusual.. seems like velvet..? Seems like it could be a PITA to clean. - The water bottle pockets on the side are REALLY small. Most of my water bottles won’t fit this.
Go With the Larger Kaslo
I've had the Kaslo Tech backpack for several years and love the number of pockets and space it has. I decided to purchase the smaller 20L daypack for my middle school kid. Upon attempting to put a regular-sized water bottle in the side pocket, I realized the space was incredibly small and could barely fit a slim can.
good bag but the earbud pocket is a waste in desig
I got the smaller 20L model. It's good looking backpack and comfortable for my commute. The interiors are awesome. A few small dislikes: the so-called earbud pocket in the shoulder straps is a joke. For Apple earbuds, it is a snug fit. I use samsung which is a but more square and a little thicker, doesn't fit. It makes a good place for a box of tictacs. the 30L is just way too big for daily commute, but I wish there was one shallow pocket like the one in top rear of the 30L. A shallow pocket the size of a mobile phone or wallet to keep these handy instead of reaching deep into a large pocket to fish these out. Otherwise, good materials and good looking bag.
Overall Great
Love the padding and construction. It feels well made and keeps my shoulders supported while I walk all around campus. I can put my 15" laptop and iPad in here along with an umbrella, chargers, pens, keys, hand sanitizer, and wallet. The mini pockets inside of the first pocket seem a little poorly designed because most of them can't hold anything they have sizes that are oddly specific. Also the metal tags on the zippers hit each other and make sounds while I walk which can be a little annoying. Overall, the function, utility, and style trump that of any other backpack I tried and considered purchasing.
Incredible quality, lightweight, perfect for work
Purchased this as an upgrade to my previous Herschel bag, and wanted something that was light and had room for my laptop, a notebook and simple things. This fits snuggly against my pack and is super lightweight. It's a perfect size for my daily commute to the office and prevents me from overstuffing random things into the backpack - even though it has enough compartments to do so! I also love that it's a perfect color match to my luggage so the luggage sleeve works perfectly as a set with my current bag. Great quality, amazing warranty, and something I'll use for decades!
Makes a great diaper backpack!
I've owned a Herschel backpack for almost 10 years now, and apart from the metal ring where the backpack's string comes out of falling out, I've been very happy with the quality. I had my baby 6 months ago and we have started going to swimming class. I was looking for a lightweight backpack that would fit everything I need, and I'm so happy with this purchase and all its compartments! It fits: 2 towels, slippers, diapers, diaper paste, swimsuits etc. without an issue! I'm really happy to bring this backpack on our future travels as well :) Thanks, Herschel!
Love the bag
I primarily use the bag to commute to and from work and for travel. The bag excels for those two use cases primarily because of its various pockets, zippers, flaps, and holders. I can easily organize my items so nothing has to live perpetually at the bottom of the bag. Very comfortable for walking in a city. Can’t speak to its use in more rugged environments. Only criticism is that because of its various flaps, it can’t fit very bulky items the way a bag with one cavity can. If you have bulk, go up a size.
Gift for Boyfriend
My boyfriend had been using the same backpack for the gym, work, school, and travel for 7 years. He’s going fully in office this year and I thought he needed a more professional backpack. He loves it. There’s just enough space for his laptop, keys, light jacket, and lunch box! Most backpacks are narrower at the bottom so a stuffed backpack can be weirdly bulky at the top. This backpack doesn’t have the problem. He has a 32oz water bottle and the side pockets are a bit tight when it’s in but it still fits.
Travel Professional Backpack
I love this backpack. I originally purchased a black one for my husband as a gift and fell in love. I travel a lot for work and was running into issues with my old backpack; it was too big, did not fit under the seat, and the pass through was too thin. The Kaslo fixed all that for me and made it easier to travel each week for work. I recommend the backpack with hopes that it lasts over a good period of time. I have only used it for three of my work trips so far and had it for a month. But so far so good.
“Earbuds Pocket” will ONLY fit AirPods.
I was really disappointed with this bag. For the price it feels cheap and lightweight, similar to materials you’d find at a big box store’s backpack aisle. Certainly does not feel like it will last. The mesh used is scratchy and cheap feeling. Beyond that, they really need to clarify in the advertising that the pocket on the shoulder strap for earbuds, will fit AirPods and AirPods only. If you have another brand, too bad for you. I will be returning this bag, it is not what I am looking for.
