Comfy to wear but they ride up when running

I love Brooks running shoes and was so excited about these shorts! They are the perfect length for me as a 5’9” woman (which can be hard to find). They are not too short or too long. They are thin but not see through at all, very lightweight, and made of a very soft, dry fit type material which I love. Unfortunately they aren’t great for me to run in. They immediately ride up my inner thighs and are both uncomfortable and distracting in that way when running. I am sure if my thighs were a bit slimmer these would be the perfect shorts! If you do not typically have an issue with shorts riding up, you will probably love these!

Favorite running shorts

I am so impressed with Brooks clothing and the company as a whole! I originally ordered a large and sent them back because they looked big in the crotch. I got a medium and they rode up in the legs when I ran because they were too tight. I sent them back (love that we have that option!!!!!). I got a large and Just tightened the string and they stay in place on my legs and waist the entire run!! They’re my favorite running shorts, just had to get the size right!

Need something for us in between gals

I wanted to love these shorts, but had to return them. I am very much between sizes and have hips/large thighs. I purchased an XL based on the measurements on the website. I LOVED the feel of the legs-I had room to breathe, there was minimal thigh gobbling, but the waistband was problematic. I had to cinch it all the way in and then it created a weird gap. I sent them back for a size large and I lost the flowy leg holes, and after taking several steps, not only did the shorts ride up the inside of my thighs, but also the outside creating a booty short of sorts. Sadly, that pair was returned as well.

Great marathon shorts

These are a little longer on my quads than I typically like. They are comfortable. No chaffing. I stowed my iPhone 14 in the back pocket for an entire marathon and it didn’t bounce or bother me. They run on the large size. I am 128 pounds and the small fit me better than the medium (medium way too baggy). Overall an awesome purchase. I sweat like a beast and these didn’t not hold onto it.

FINALLY IT’S HAPPENED TO ME!

WOW! As someone with a life-long FEAR of running in ‘loose’ shorts, I tried these based off a review on Instagram! I went all in and tested these out on an 7.5 mile run. They exceeded my expectations - staying put and not falling victim to ‘the inner thigh gobble’. Love the length, booty fit, waistband, and phone pocket in back. I will be buying several pairs!

Disappointed in quality

These had the potential to be really great shorts - but before I could wear them on a run, they ripped! I was wearing these around the house to do a light test on if they could handle the thigh rub, and within 30 min one of the seams had split. Fabric seems to be very flimsy, which is disappointing as they're the perfect running length for me

I'm surprised more people aren't mentioning this- I have always worn a medium in the 5" chaser and when they updated them I am now a small- the mediums are HUGE. I'm super happy with the smalls, but I have this one pair in medium that I had to waste money on first. I love the high waist on these. Fit well on those of us with a bit of a butt.

Your thighs will gobble them up.

Loved the shorts, right out of the package. I remember them being Super comfortable and lightweight. I washed them and cannot currently locate(that should tell you how I really feel about them). I cannot tell you if they have pockets. My big issue with them, as run/walk shorts, was that my thighs gobbled them up:( They were were highly recommended as “they will not ride up” shorts. They rode up almost immediately. Continually pulling down the crotch before chafing can ensue, makes for a very unpleasant walk. I will probably use them for lounging around. Which stinks because they weren’t cheap but I also hope, that as I get leaner thighs, this won’t be an issue and they will be a 5 star short:)

Thick thigh? These shorts have your back!

They don't ride up! I found them on from an Instagram runner Erin Azar. My thighs are big and like Erin's they gobble up most shorts. I normally have to do the side step-shake to get most shorts back in place when I run but not with these! I am a CrossFitter and have worn them to 3 different workouts. I ran, lifted, and did other various CrossFit movements and they stayed in place with no gapping in the back. I also wore them out and about shopping, errands, ect. and I am happy to report that there were no wedgies or bunching! I am going to order a weeks worth so I can stay cool this summer. Just for your reference my thighs are a little over 25inches around and I had no problems with these shorts!

Thick thigh love!

OH MY! I’ve had thick thighs since middle school sports. Women’s shorts always creep, crawl, and stick. Makes workouts uncomfortable. I have a 29” waist but always get L/XL because of this. I ordered a L and could probably even have gone to a M and been good! After an intense stretch and high cardio workout, I’m using a break to type this now! The shorts are incredible! Did not crawl, creep, or stick! There are a couple small pockets in the front waist band and a pocket for your phone in the middle back. This pair being a little big might make the phone a smidge loose to hold (not quite sure yet) but a more fitted pair would be better secured. I’m going to need a lot more of these for our TX heat!
