The North Face  Retro Denali Jacket - Women's

This has perfect dimensions for someone like me (5’2” and 230 lbs) because it’s boxy and cropped. Definitely wouldn’t recommend for everyone and if I were any taller the length would be an issue. The upper arms are really bulky though, likely due to the unnecessary armpit zippers. Thankfully they’re not uncomfortable, just slightly awkward. It’s not the warmest, but it’s good if you like to layer/don’t want to wear a large coat. I can comfortably wear this over a wool sweater! Overall, it’s a good option if you’re on the shorter side and not looking to use this for very cold weather.

I really liked the jacket in store - the thicker fabric, 3 pockets. When I received the one in my size in the mail, the dimensions didn't make any sense - the torso length was almost crop top length (really short) and the arms were too long. I haven't had this problem with any other sweaters/ jackets before. It's a shame due to the lovely fabric / pocket combo.

I really like the jacket it is fairly warm and windproof for fleece. My only complaint is the side vent zippers are pretty stiff and can be irritating but I’ve gotten past that. I am 5’2” 135lbs athletic build and got an xs, which makes it sorta baggy but more fitted. I was going to exchange for a small so it would be baggier but they don’t have a small in brown anymore so I might just hold on to it. I can still fit a hoodie under it I just wanted it slightly bigger. I normally am between an xs and s depending on the brand so depends how you want it to fit on you.

I bought this jacket because I LOVE the pit zips. It's the only reason I bought it but after a couple of tries I started to notice that it does a poor job at keeping me warm. I live in California and it's in the low 50s today and this jacket barely did anything. Also if you have pets--DO NOT BUY. It traps pet hair (and human hair) like no other. Even a lint roller doesn't completely catch all the pet hair, and it leaves the jacket looking unclean. Will return. It looks nice, and I'm sad because I love the pit zips, but the two cons aren't worth it for me.

I invested in this piece since I’ve been traveling quite often to the outdoors. Upon pick up the salesperson was very helpful and let me know the features of the item. It definitely kept me warm while trekking. However, it isn’t wind proof but not a huge dealbreaker for me since I already own a North Face windbreaker. Also, I did get caught in rain but it dried fairly quickly and no signs of watermarks were left behind.I highly recommend this for people that travel to the outdoors often.

Why does everything have to be cropped? Bring back the original.

I should have read through the reviews before buying this. Since the title says "retro" denali jacket, I assumed it was the same fit as previous years. This was my favorite jacket and I lost it on an airplane. I was looking to replace it. I apparently didn't look close enough and did not realize this was a cropped fit. I'm very disappointed in this and I'll be returning it.

I purchased the white and black retro (same jacket) and hands down give that one 5 stars. I returned the black and gray one bc the faded colors made it look used. If you like faded than this one’s for you.

Nice jacket but I feel it cuts off at an awkward length.
