This is my best, most comfortable and responsive running shoe yet. I would buy it in all colours if i could. It just looks good!
The step in comfort is next level. This shoe is soft and responsive and gave me that ah-ha feeling when I stepped in It. One thing though, for the love of god, Adidas, please get your sizing right. This shoe is so narrow and short that I needed to go up a FULL SIZE. I normally wear a 11.5, so I went for a 12.5 and I’m glad I did (thank you reviewers). My right foot is borderline wide shoe territory, but if your foot is narrow you may be ok with TTS. If your foot is slightly wide then a half size up may suffice. The length was just right for me when sizing up a full size and that’s just so crazy to me. Other than that, the shoe feels amazing on foot.
Read and saw good things about this shoe but for me it was terrible in the few runs I took it on. It’s a daily trainer that doesn’t do well at slower speeds and doesn’t have enough underfoot to give you cushion while up on the front of your foot running fast. I was able to find a bit of solace by heel striking but the ride of the shoe became very clunky. Also lightstrike 2.0 is a very firm foam and the chunk of lightstrike pro doesn’t do enough. If you like ground feel you might like this shoe but I’ve become accustomed to more cushioned options. I’ll be returning and getting another pair of NovaBlast 4’s instead as daily trainers.
...I don't know how they did it - but it's sorcery I'm telling you. Light, comfort, cushioned and fit - these are words that usually don't all go together in a daily trainer category but in this case, Adidas really nailed it with this shoes. It even handled some light trail /pave dirt work really well. When I went home from my run, I was so impressed with the shoes' performance that I rewarded it with a thorough cleaning ( see pics ). I was really impressed that I decided to order another pair in a different color. Now the only question to Adidas is... where is the men's " all white / unofficial non-dyed " color scheme ( the ladies have it )?
נעליים מצויינות גם לריצה וגם ליום יום מאוד נוחות ויש להם פידבק מצויין
I got my first pair of these a few months ago, to compliment some more performance-oriented trainers I had. These quickly became one of the staple shoes of my rotation, and are one of the most versatile and consistent daily trainers I have ever run in. While they do take about 50 miles to break in, the underfoot experience is very responsive, and while firm, doesn’t change at all after the longest of training runs. I took these out every week for a hilly 12-miler, and I was able to squeeze down the pace down to low 6-minute miles relatively comfortably. Their quality is exceptional, and while my first pair only was really good up until about 400 miles, they were absolutely worth it, especially for such an exceptional price. I’m hoping to get even more out of this next pair.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Huge improvement on the previous version. I have around 50kms in the SL2 so far and I would say it's very versatile and comfortable daily trainer. Capable of anything from uptempo to recovery paces although it's certainly more geared towards paces of 5 minutes per km and under. Sizing for me is pretty much perfect. Very much a racing-esque style fit but no issues for me. If you're not sure, order two pairs, your true size and a half size up and just send the other one back. At this price point (and especially if you can get it discounted), I don't think you can find a better versatile daily trainer. Highly recommended.
While the adizero SL got mixed reviews, I personally enjoyed the shoe. It had a classic feel underfoot. Adidas certainly brought the heat with this version. It’s excellent!! The ride is amazing! The inclusion of more likestrike pro gives the shoe both more cushioning and springy, while keeping a classical sensation underfoot. It’s not a heavy shoe, so it is very versatile. Great easy or daily running shoe, and can be used for some higher speed workouts. It will keep u fresh. Size-wise, I generally go half a size up with running shoes always. I am a 9.5, and the 10 fits perfectly. Not hot spots. Great shoe and the development of the SL line is going in a great direction.
I’ve ran in the previous adidas sl for daily training for the past year along with the Boston 12s for longer distance and speed work and I think these might be my favorite of the three. While they aren’t as zippy as the Boston’s due to the lack of torsion rods I wouldn’t say they feel too far off. Coming from someone who loved the original sl these blew me away as an upgrade to those. I feel just as good if not better soaking up slow mileage in these but when it comes time to pick up the pace the 2s blew the originals out of the water. If you need a great all around and lightweight daily trainer I couldn’t recommend them more. I’ll definitely be picking up another pair after these go out
Didn’t have to break them in, they feel as amazing as they look. Bouncy out of the box. Bit of a slim fit for my wide feet but I was able to go true to size without any problems. They’re a comfortable, versatile shoe that can handle daily runs and have enough bounce to pick up the pace for tempo runs as well. I’d definitely get another pair but I expect 300-500 miles out of these.
