Lockable, durable and functional.
Great, durable duffel bag that I can use on a daily basis or for international travel. Being lockable, waterproof and the shoulder straps makes it a good travel duffel to take extra gear. I've had the bad experience in the past of having a bag get soaked on the tarmac while waiting to be loaded on the plane. With the Alpaca 60 I have no worries of water getting inside and with the lockable zipper I get a sense of security for my belongings.

Year + later review!
This bag has definitely fulfilled my need for a durable, weatherproof bag that can carry critical tactical gear in my off-duty vehicle called between locations without screaming "tactical." My gear is heavy and often has hard edges, but this bag can take it all. No signs of abrasions or wear and tear, and this bad gets used a lot! Either filled with tactical gear or used as a last-minute wilderness survival backpack, this bag takes a beating and still looks good and remains waterproof. Thank you Gregory!

Built nearly bullet proof
I’ve owned this duffel bag for almost a year now. It’s been on a couple camp outs and three canoe trips and so far no complaints! Everything has stayed dry even when my canoe flipped one time. Zipper is heavy duty and doesn’t get stuck, shoulder straps are a nice option when your hands are full and you’re carrying a heavy load. Heavy material used in the construction jm that has proven very wear/puncture resistant. Definitely recommend this bag if you’re in the market for a heavy duty bag.

Perfect size
Well made, built to last. Alpaca 60, a great compromise for volume-to-portability for air travel. Most airlines limit bags to 50 lb (22.6 kg). Most folks can’t strap a bag much larger than this on their back for long treks much less one weighing > 50 lbd. Bigger bags means the temptation to overpack. The Alpaca 60 encourages judicious packing AND better chance of conforming to airline bag weight limits.
Great Duffel Bag
I haven't tested it in mountains nor thrown it around at an airport as of yet, but it's sturdy and great. exterior pocket (just 1) is roomy and thoughtful. the body is large (packing cubes help) and zippered compartments on interior flap lip are great. it's a very solid bag, especially at 60 dollars. I like it as much as a the patagonia black hole duffel, which is 4x as expensive.

Exped worthy
Brought it on a research expedition in the Arctic Circle and it’s brought everything I need plus has been rugged enough to hold up for travel and transporting equipment. I got the 60L but wish I got a bigger one just because I had it filled to the brim. Great all around bag though. Use it as my car camping bag/ normal travel bag as well and the shoulder straps are a huge benefit!

Quality Bag
This bag is well made. Has strong stitching, quality zippers, and is nearly waterproof. It will stand up to most weather, unless you need an actual dry bag. Easily fits a change of clothes, lunch, workout gear, etc. for an all in work bag. Also doubles nicely as a casual duffle for a few nights away from home when you don't want to pack a suitcase.

Great Bag. Extremely durable. Straps are sturdy and the back pack strap feature is great. The bag seam to hold up well to abuse and keeps the dust and weather out. The only fault I see is that it doesn't have the cinch straps that its larger versions have.

Great bag for the gym
I was looking for a bigger bag to haul all my gear to muay thai. This bag ticks all the boxes: spacious, rugged, shoulder straps. The separate shoe pocket is great for storing sweaty gear. Can't recommend this bag enough!
This is the bag you should buy.
If you can find a better 60L backpack duffel at a lower price, you should buy it. But I believe that bag doesn’t exist, buy this and pat yourself on the back for being such an astute consumer.
