I bought both the 15 and 0 degree bozemans. Just took the 15 on a smoky mountain trip and stayed comfortable. I’m a side sleeper and there was plenty of room around the shoulders to turn. This bag has the same relaxed mummy cut so it provides the same comfort. I wish the hood cinch could let out a little more because it was tight around my forehead with the pillow I used. But where I knock a star off is the stuff sack. For such a good quality bag it is HUGE in the issued stuff sack. Just got a different brand 20L compression sack and was able to get it down to half the size I just wish they would’ve included a version of this better compression sack! Bag itself is 5/5 now that I can get it packed smaller.
I love this bag! I bought it for the Everest Base Camp and High Passes trek with Kamzang Journeys, from early November through early December and which stayed in tea lodges. If you're thinking the lodges would be warmer than tents, no - as much as I liked the lodges they were not insulated nor heated so in terms of temps it was much like a tent with rigid walls. Temperatures dropped to 0F/-18C so this bag was used for what it was designed for. It performed well. I am a cool sleeper, meaning I like to sleep in cooler environments. In this bag, at 0*, I was usually in boxer briefs, a base layer T, and wool socks, with a Nalgene bottle full of hot water at my feet. Most nights i took the bottle out after i got in and warmed up. A few nights I had to leave the bag unzipped a bit. So I would say the temperature rating of 0* is accurate. I liked that it is synthetic. While we didn't get any rain, you will see a lot of condensation around the opening from your breath, especially if you have it the opening cranked down to not much more than your mouth and nose. The bag didn't lose any insulting ability and it dried quickly. I bought the Long version since I'm 6'2". It fit great. It was also wide enough for me and my shoulders are about 22" wide. There was enough room in the footbox as well. The one downside is it is heavier than a down bag (as expected). It also does not stuff down as well. I bought a Sea to Summit compression sack for it but it still took up about 1/3 of my 100l duffel. The rest of my gear fit fine in the duffle so I'm not complaining. I strongly recommend this bag!
This just arrived yesterday so naturally I had to put it to the test. I just spent an extremely warm and comfortable night relaxing in this bag (the -18 C) in my backyard at 0 C. Lots if wiggle room, but fits very well. I bought the long size because I’m 6’2”, so there’s a bit of extra room at the bottom, but this is easily dealt with when you stuff the leftover material into your stuff sack and wrap that around your feet.
My body runs cold all year round and I'm a restless sleeper. This is high quality, luxurious feel, very warm and comfortable to rest/sleep in to after a long day of being out and about in nature. The only thing that was a little bit difficult was putting the sleeping bag to it's bag. Great investment!
I took this to Everest Base Camp. It was a bit heavy but I was the only person in my group to stay warm throughout the trek. I was a pleasure to sleep in and I spent plenty of time after hikes just reading in this bag in warmth and comfort. I am allergic to down so really needed this.
I tested this in -25 degree and it was great. It is a heavy sleeping bag but it works. My height is 187 cm and I got the tall one. It is slightly big for me. I am happy about my purchase.
Took this winter camping. Very toasty/warm at -2C. Have yet to try it at colder temps, but very happy thus far.
Very warm bag. My 7yo is currently testing it to ready for winter camping and ski touring. Another 5/5 product!
Super wam on 15 degree nights. Wish it stuffed down smaller, but it worked great for car/raft camping
Perfect and lived up to expectations! Stayed warm throughout the night, even my feet.
