The broccoli isn't tender and cheese has no flavor
I bought this meal because it is gluten free. For a supposedly healthy meal, it is disappointing it comes with white rice. The broccoli is not tender in any way, it is tough and not in a crunchy way. Also the cheese sauce while "creamy" has barely any flavor. There is a weird aftertaste which I think comes from the onion, which is surprising since it is so far down the ingredients list. In terms of serving size, this is two servings but plan on bringing at least twice that much if you're going to hit it after a long hike. I'm barely full after two servings after a sedentary morning.

If you are looking for a vegetarian meal that isn't spicy, this might work for you. The flavor isn't very mild and creamy. Unfortunately, it has a lot of tough and fibrous broccoli stalks that are inedible! Also, this will definitely be just one serving for most people.

I was transported, y'all. I thought I was backpacking the Sierras but after one bite of this I was in a wonderful, neighborhood cafe with this on soup special. All of the stars and recommendations. I will consistently be buying and rebuying this.
Creamy Needs Bread
When they say creamy, they mean it. It's like Panera broccoli cheddar soup without the bread bowl.

Add some dehydrated chicken and a bit of extra water and have a delecious hot soup for the trail!
