My new favorite running shorts!
I absolutely love these shorts. I can’t believe it took me this long to get them! I wear them For all of my runs. Perfect fit and no chafing whatsoever. They stay up and I do not have to retie them during my runs. The pockets are great, too! I recently participated in a half marathon trail race and forgot to tuck my phone in my running vest. It was in the pocket of my shorts for the duration of the entire run, through trips and falls and rugged terrain and it didn’t fall out. I would recommend these to anyone. Fits true to size. I’m a size 4 in pants/jeans, 125 lbs, and I got size small.

I looked at the shorts thought they would fit...wore them 27 plus hours to wester states.... but it was too big.. ended up using a string to hold them up... I wore them with pride and won my age... but would love to have them in small to make a better review... a lot of people saw them on me.. love the pockets.
Reflective details peeling
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While I absolutely love these shorts, I’m disappointed in the durability. They’ve been worn and washed (following care instructions) less than a dozen times and the reflective stuff is peeling off.
High quality running shorts
I was excited to try these shorts right when they came out, and was impressed with them. Pros: - The pockets! I don't put my phone in the pockets because it's too heavy, but I do appreciate the ability to put my chapstick, salt caps, a small knife, and any trash that I pick up on the trail in my shorts. - Colors. I have the blue multi-print (forgot the exact name) which is quite snazzy. - 2.5" inseam is shorter than I usually wear due to some inner thigh chub rub that chafes when shorts ride up. But these bad boys didnʻt ride up which I was impressed with. Cons - The only one is that the back of the shorts made my butt look kinda flat and wide. I just think it's my body shape, but I have never had the flat butt problem before (got some junk in the trunk), so that made me laugh. All in all, I really like these shorts.
Comfortable, stretchy, and I recommend highly!
I am 5'3" w/athletic legs. Originally ordered a small. Little snug in the hips. So I ordered medium. Perfect fit with room to spare. Drawstring works great. Pockets are too small for a phone but good for keys and Chapstick. Very stretchy fabric. Great for runs. I ran 6 in them on Saturday. Very comfy. Inner liner rode up a little because they are a little big but it's ok because the shorts cover it up. Recommend these for runners.
Great for running in hot weather
Great for long-distance running in hot weather! I'm 5'9, 150lbs typically wear size 8 and ordered size L and they fit great! The liner stays in place really well which is usually an issue for me, having a larger booty. The shorts are very short, but I really enjoy that aspect in the heat. The shorts are not high rise at all, they sit a couple inches below my belly button, so if you have some love handles, keep that in mind.
Perfect Breathable Fit for Even the Longest Run
I received these shorts about a week ago and have already run in them 3x. I didn't realize that I had been running in the wrong shorts until I put these on. The perfect amount of compression in the waist and airflow for the thighs. The Essential Shorts are the best running shorts I have tried to date. I would recommend them for any runner - no matter the course. Personally I love them for my beach day runs.
Great pocket running shorts
These pocketed shorts are perfect for running with a phone and extra glucose. Even with all of the pockets full, they stay in place and the stuff doesn't bounce. They are a bit longer in the back so they don't look too skimpy. They are the perfect weight for running in the summer heat. The inseam seems quite short. I wish they were about an inch higher in the waist.
Good fit, useless larger pockets
Shorts fit as expected and stay in place while running. Three pockets is great but neither of the side two pockets holds an iPhone 12. All the pockets are too small for more than a key or id card. I bought them for the side pockets to hold my phone and they are useless for that.
Love these shorts!
These are comfortable and have thoughtfully places pockets. I love that the pockets are on the outside and not inside where there contents cause chafing. The pockets are secure. The back zipper pocket fits my iPhone 11 easily. The reflective tape is a nice addition.
