Velcro is too short/loose ankle strap
Bought these from the REI outlet section in San Luis Obispo. I came in half an hour before closing time and they were the only ones on the clearance rack in a size and width that worked for me (8). But after working and walking around a full day in them, I noticed how small the velcro portion of the back/ankle strap was, and developed a small rash near my insole from how i had to adjust my step to walk with slightly loose ankle straps. If the velcro section was 1.5" longer they'd be great sandals. They werent cheap, i spent $109. I cant return them, but if i sew in another velcro strap theyd be perfect.
Buckle rubs
I am sad that I have to return the Elle because the buckle rubs on the side of my foot. The rest of the sandal fits great and the style is exactly what I was looking for to travel in.
Love these Comfy Sandals
Sandals are great with a thicker & stiffer sole which is great for the arthritis in my feet. I can wear these all day. Only drawback is the left strap will not go tighter.

I read the reviews. I hoped they were true. There were so many; I took a chance. Success! They were indeed accurate. These sandals fit my feet so well! First purchase and they’re perfect! They’re comfortable; they fit so well! I am a 9-1/2. These are perfect. I have a wide toe bed. These are close, but work perfectly. They’re light weight. They stay on your foot. No sluffing. No movement. No blisters, no corns, no pinch anywhere. I AM A KEEN FOOTWEAR girl from here out. You got my attention KEEN. You told the truth. These are a quality and comfortable sandal. Thank you!

Cork foot pad creases at ball of foot
These are well made with good construction but the cork foot pad crinkles uncomfortably at the ball of the foot. I returned these because that would have bothered my feeling the crease but also concerned me that the cork may degrade faster than the rest of the show at the crease.
Almost great
Very cute and comfortable with one exception. When walking, the cork folds/wrinkles under the ball of your foot, which is an odd sensation. It may relax with wearing, but it was too weird for me so I returned them
Disappointed
I purchased the Elle backstrap a couple years ago, and I loved them. I wanted a pair in black, but the black version of the backstrap has an all black foot bed, not tan like all the other colors of the backstrap. When I found these, I was really happy with the look and decided to give them a try. I like the fit and the style, however, there is a strange crease in the sole right where the ball of my foot hits. It’s in the same place on both shoes and I noticed that another reviewer mentioned the exact same thing, so I assume it is the result of the cork material maybe. This crease folds when i take a step and it rubs/pinches the ball of my foot. I’m super bummed because the Elle backstrap shoes I had were so comfortable, but I’m not sure that I’ll be able to walk for long periods of time with this pinching on the ball of my foot.
Love these sandals!
I love Keen shoes for their comfort but wanted something more stylish that could be worn with shorts or dresses in the summer. These were perfect, I wore them taking my grandkids to the zoo and they were so comfortable right out of the box with no break-in time needed. I have a lot of issues with foot cramping and plantar fasciitis if I don’t have supportive shoes and have had no problems when wearing these. Highly recommend!
Comfy & Stylish
Love these sandals. Very comfy, stay on my feet, super supportive, and absolutely LOVE the color and style. I went back and forth about getting the the clay color or the white and I'm so glad I got the clay color. It's beautiful. Goes with so much in my wardrobe, blues, greens, etc. Dress up or down - new staple in my closet. Runs true to size, same as my other Keen sandals.
