These work perfectly!
Perfect for a car without racks! These keep my kayak centered and keep it from rubbing on the roof of my car. This is exactly what I was looking for!
Solid, dense foam - iffy fit for Yakima Corebars
Foam is dense enough with my kayak (60 lb. fiberglass P&H Cetus MV) so it barely compresses at all - at least when new. But it doesn't fit my Yakima Corebar cross bars well -- they can be fit over the bars, but foam gets distorted, which seems likely to reduce their durability.
The blocks work for transporting a kayak on a rack
The blocks fit on my 2024 RAV4 roof rack and support my kayak.
Meh...
Was looking for a simply solution for transporting 14' sea kayak on cars Thule roof rack with Thule WingBar Evo crossbars. These NRS foam blocks are definitely thick and solid and will withstand the weight but unfortunately it's a real struggle getting them on the Wingbar Evo crossbars. They will fit but it is such a hassle. I was looking for something that would be easy to cover the bars when transporting my kayak but then removed when not needed. I have some old roll bar noodles, (thicker then a typical pool noodle and oval shaped and pre-cut down one side) that slip over these crossbars much easier. A little disappointed simply because it does state that these NRS blocks are designed to fit with the newer type aero bars. Weather they fit better on another brand crossbars I cannot contest to. But as far as the Thule WingBar's go I would look elsewhere. Three stars for the product is solid and durable just not the solution for me.
