I bought the Stout 45 Plus because I wear XL in shirts, jackets, etc because of my chest. I find that generally, on most packs, the shoulder straps don’t fit well, even on packs for larger people. This pack shoulder straps fit great. The only drawback for me is that the waist strap is made for someone considerably larger in the waist than I am, so that even cinched completely the buckles are right against one another, and it’s just tight enough. It seems of excellent quality, carries weight well, and is well designed.
I bought an orange one a couple of years ago, it came with a rain cover. I didn’t like the color. This one did not include a rain cover. Disappointing. Other than that, it looks great. Can’t wait to hit the trail. Camino de Santiago here I come!!
