You should be aware it is just a flat piece of steel that you bend into shape. It sort of looks like you would put it together in the photo but that is not the case. So once you fold it into shape it is not meant to be bent back flat. Three cubes used one after another would be enough to boil a cup of water. There are other types of esbit stoves that can be disassembled.
In the photo it appears to look like the stove is assembled from parts but it is a single sheet of steel that you have to bend into shape. If you try to flatten it out again you are bending thin steel back and forth and it wont be long before it comes apart due to metal fatigue. So it really is an one time emergency stove unless you carry it around without trying to flatten it for transport.
It's definitely "for emergency use only" -- I wasn't expecting to have to "fold metal" to get the stove to pop in place--I guess I was expecting that there would be a hinge of some sort. It does fold easily and folds back as it should, but I'm sure after extended use that would wear out. That said... it's a low price and an emergency item.
If anyone is considering buying this stove, may as well buy the sterno portable folding stove with gel chaffing fuel for $7. That is sturdier, reusable, and cheaper. The fuel also lasts at least 2 hours of cooking. This is not worth it even when it is on sale.
Exactly what I wanted for an emergency stove. Not something I plan on using and re-using, even though it's possible.
