Lifejackets require a specialized knife clip, and this one is nice and secure. The easy thumb release and blunt tip are a plus (especially in inflatable raft). It easily cut my rope when I tested the blade. turns out the backside of the blade is beveled but not sharp for spreading PeanutButter and such.
