Carve Designs  Oahu Butter 4" Shorts - Women's

I bought this style a year or so back and they fit wonderfully; accommodating larger thighs without being too large in the waist. It can be difficult to find brands for athletic builds so I was excited to find a brand that worked on my body type. Sadly, Carve has switched to a cheaper fabric and changed the cut to more of a standard cut so the style is now narrow in the thighs and gaps in the waist on an athletic body type. After ordering these online, I even tried a few in store to make sure it wasn't just a one off issue, but unfortunately it seems like that's just how they are made now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are great shorts! I had pairs previously in a smaller size and they just don't fit right anymore. In this style, I ordered a 16. I go between 14 and 16, and while these are slightly big, the 14s might have been too small. They are very soft and super comfy. They feel like a much lower rise than other shorts I have, which I really like. I have larger thighs, and these shorts still have room in the legs. I also love a distressed hem and how light the fabric is!. The color will go with so many tops - these will become a staple this summer!

“Butter” is absolutely the feel of the fabric. I went years not wearing shorts until I discovered Carve. These shorts are absolutely comfortable and versatile. I wear Tankinis and can easily wear them to transition to lunch and they can really be dressed up or down. The colors these shorts come in have a softness as well. The fit is perfect. They will spoil you for other brands. I have them in every color at this point. I love the Honey it is a perfect neutral yellow. Goes great with white, grey, even lavender. Love this shade of yellow.

Really cute shorts. I think the green is a little more green in person, but still a good shade. I've got a short athletic (5'3" and ~135-140lbs with large thighs) build and got these in a size 8. I'm usually a 4 or 6 depending on fit, but didn't want a tight fitting short. For reference, I also got the Maui shorts in a size 8 and the Oahu Cloud shorts in a 6 and love the fit of all of them.

I love the Honey color. The fit is good. It is a little big in the waist on me. Maybe I should have got a size 6. The fabric is very soft. My only negative feedback is the fabric is thin. The 4 inch Oahu shorts I got last year are thicker. I think they will last and wear longer than the Butter shorts. Wait and see how they hold up after a few washes.

They are very flattering on also. I have several of these in different colors, my most recent purchase was the butter which I love for summer. I definitely recommend you trying a pair.

They fit my build perfectly. Not too tight in my waist or too baggy on my hips and thighs. The baby corduroy fabric is light weight and not bulky at all. CHEERS to Carve!

I've always had thick thighs, so I was pleasantly suprised that these actually fit me--just barely, though. I was also happy to discover they don't ride up much when I walk! Very happy with them and will likely buy in another color.

I was worried they would be too hot because they're cords, but the fabric seems lighter than a cotton or even a linen! They fit perfectly. Definitely buying a few more pairs.

Hmmmm, why are these my favorite? Buttery soft, relaxed fit, nice length. The 4” is a great length. They aren’t too short so I feel like I have good coverage. I have 4 pair of these and they are my go to shorts. I love the bit of retro vibe as well.
