've been wearing the 860 series for years and always trusted the quality, but this version is disappointing. The material feels cheaper, and it started showing wear and tear just over two months after I began wearing them (even though I purchased them earlier for spring). Definitely not the same standard as previous versions.
Very good shoe comfortable very happy will buy again.
The shoes were great for the first few days. Felt like i was walking on the clouds. I am walking 5 to 7 miles a day. After the first week , I started noticing that the front of the shoes already were starting to wear out. My feet and back now hurt after wearing these shoes all day. Was hoping for the best and unfortunately got the worse.
This is a terrific stability shoe that can work well for pronators and neutral runners/walkers alike. The dual density foam and eva stability plane provide a soft comfortable feel without compromising on stability. The fit is roomy and accommodating with space for custom inserts if needed. Version 14 is a big improvement on version 13.
on my 3rd or 4th pair. 2E toe box is a good match for my needs. newest pair is tough to get the show on my foot but once there, we’re good. I’m walking 10k every morning and I only wish they lasted longer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wonderful shoe to run in and meander around the floors as a healthcare worker! Beautiful medial arch support for all the pronators out there.
Comfortable ride! I have flat feet so the comfort is a must! Also stability is perfect! No sliding or major stiffness in this shoe
Wearing out quickly. Have had just a couple weeks.
Purchased the all-white colorway. Very clean design and I think it's a better shoe than v13. Personally I did not like the hard medial post in v13. It felt jarring and sometimes as if it was stabbing the bottom of my foot. However, I know some people did like the "old school stability" of the v13 so that's something to consider. A lot of brands are moving away from the traditional medial post and it can be seen in shoes like the Guide 17 and Kayano 30. I like that New Balance is doing this as well and using a stability plane instead.
I miss the old version of the shoe. The new version of the shoe has a bit of fabric that connects the tongue of the shoe with the bottom of the shoe, and as a person who’s foot height is already taller than most, this bit of fabric just pulls down on the top of my foot and makes it very uncomfortable to wear. I had to return both pairs I bought. I am very disappointed, and worrried I will not find any more shoes without this new additional material. I have only worn new balance shoes since I started my running journey 12 years ago, and now I'm worried I will have to look elsewhere. Which is concerning because my feet are picky.
