Almost perfect!

I adore *almost* everything about this shoe! I have very flat feet and this has fantastic support and keeps my foot from pronating. I was wearing Altra Paradigm, but realized that the zero drop is not for me. This shoe is very similar to the Altra, but with a little bit of drop that is just perfect. The cushioning is supportive, yet cloud-like... again wonderful! These shoes have tested out lots of slippery rocks and streams and the grip is amazing! Not 100% waterproof, but I knew that when I purchased them. The ONLY thing I don't like are the color choices! I use these for hiking in Ohiopyle PA; often muddy and wet trails. Please offer a darker version (like the Men's mud color) and these will be 5 stars! I have cleaned my pretty light blue Katabatics multiple times, but the mud has stained them for good.

Comfy but Squeaky

Love the feel and fit but these shoes squeak with every step. It makes for a very noisy hike, even on grass. Sound appears to be coming from the sole/heel but still trying to assess this. It is not from a wet shoe and they squeaked right out of the box. These are comfortable and true to size. I have a wide toe box and narrow heel and the addition of SuperFeet hiking insoles helped with any heel slipping.

Great grip, comfort, and style

Bought these because of the reviews on grip. We did a hike on Skelig Michael in Ireland which is typically very slippery. The grip was great. Wide toebox, super comfortable.right out of the box. No break in period, no blisters. And if I'm being honest I really wanted a trail runner that looked more like a trainer than a hiker. The style on these is great!

Great on uneven terrain

Wore these to Acadia National Park and hiked several trails in them over the course of a week (Beehive, Cadillac North Ridge, Jordan Pond, etc.). They did great! Climbing up Cadillac you go over a ton of uneven rocks and these shoes did so well! I never slipped and was able to keep my balance with a backpack. Highly recommend.

Runs large. WIDE in the heel.

Runs large and left me with huge blisters on the sides of my heels. The length was right, but it is wide even though it says it's not a wide size. Unfortunately, I can't return now because I had to wear them to find out just how bad the fit was.
