Great running pack

I used this waist pack for running and hiking. It easily fit my phone, an extra battery, and a couple of snacks. The zipper was secure and I didn’t have to worry about things falling out while running. It has a couple of interior pockets to keep organized - I used it for lip balm. The pack was comfortable to wear and easy to adjust. I liked that I could easily clip/unclip the belt and the adjustability meant that I could wear it as a sling rather than just around my waist. The only (very minor) complaint I have is that the belt would loosen after a while of use. This was easily fixed even while in motion.

Comfortable fabric, straps don't stay tight

I used this waist pack while trail running short distances (2-3 miles). I appreciate that the fabric that lays against my skin is soft and doesn't chafe. There's lots of room inside the zippered pocket, which is great because my phone is very large and heavy. Even with my phone inside, the bag still lays pretty flat against my waist which is great. My only complaint is that the elastic strap keepers/web keepers are very loose and allow the straps to loosen and fly around. I have a relatively small waist and have long strap ends once I've tightened it down, but the web keepers eventually slide back up the main strap and let the strap ends flap around. It's very annoying.

Versatile Travel Companion?

Received the product as a part of Trailblazers program from REI While this waist pack is primarily designed for running, I found it to be a versatile companion for my travels. The pack fits snugly around the waist, although I did find the buckle to be slightly larger than my preference. In terms of storage, the main zip pocket offers limited space, which may be ideal for running such that items do not bounce around. However, I discovered that this compact design works perfectly for discreetly carrying essential travel documents like cash, passport, and other important papers. It serves as a convenient and secure option to keep these vital items close at hand while exploring new destinations.

Great in Theory; Poor Execution

The pouch is a great idea but isn’t executed well unless you own only small items. The pouch is not large enough to be actually useful; you can’t fit a normal water bottle, you can barely fit your iPhone, you can’t fit any kind of shirt or cloves with any mass to them. Maybe if you’re an ultra light runner this could be good, but for most folks it’s not going to add much value.

A versatile waist pack for adventure on trails!

A very versatile waist pack. I've already used this on a quick run and trail biking. The best feature I love is how close fitting it is to your body. I dont like bulky fanny packs when possible during biking so this is great for <2hr ride. It also fits inside my tshirt so I can get the air flowing when hot. The main zipper compartment has organization features which excellent. Its big enough to store my phone, a multitool and a snack needed for my short ride. The one thing I wish was the side pocket was big and stretchy to hold a medium/small sized bike bottle but that's ok. Another great thing is the large front buckle which is easy to use especially when using a gloves. Perfect and releases every time without hesitation. Overall, love this handy waist pack!

Nice for walking, falls short on runs

This is a nice, low-profile waist pack. The storage is pretty minimal, but I found that I could fit all the basics (keys, slim wallet, chapstick, a couple small snacks, and my iPhone 12 Pro). Because of how slim the storage compartment is, the internal storage pockets weren't especially useful, but I could see using them for trash to keep it separate from the other stuff in the main compartment. The straps were comfortable and easy to adjust, but I found it a little difficult to get them as tight as I wanted them to make the pack feel more secure. I'll definitely continue using this for walks as the weather warms up and I have fewer layers on with pockets to stash things. It's nice to have this option along with my other hip pack, which has more storage but is bulkier - now I can choose between the two of them based on what I need on any given day. My only complaint really is that this will definitely not work for me for running, which I'm disappointed about. I tested it out with a light jog, and it stayed in place for barely a few strides before bouncing around. I tend to wear these things lower on my hips (see photo) rather than up on my waist because it irritates my stomach to have a strap across it, so maybe it would work out better for people who are ok with wearing it around their natural waist like in the product pictures. I tried it both with the pack facing forward (clasp in the back) and backward (clasp in the front), and neither way was comfortable enough for me personally to have higher up around my waist. But overall, it's still a good little pack and I'm looking forward to using it more on my walks!

Stylishly Useful

Received through the REI Trailblazers, I found the size of this to be really comfortable. It’s colorful yet blends in with my walking clothes. Not used to wearing one, I discovered that it makes a difference to keep the zipper side up (or the contents slip out 🤦‍♀️). Used for walking friend’s dog, it holds the bags well. Couldn’t figure out what to use the side pockets for, so I took off a star. Appreciate the extra benefit of hiding my belly rather than drawing attention to it.
