Heavy for a sun hoody, but not bad overall.

Fit is perfect and price was right. I have a ton of sun hoodies Patagonia, Montbell, Outdoor Research etc. This one is noticeably heavier than the rest. Took it on a 40 mile backpacking trip and was boiling. I’d say great for cooler to mild temps. Anything hot 75 I’d go with something more lightweight. If you where to get it wet it would take forever to dry out. The hard piece in the hood making a visor is unnecessary especially if wearing a hat. Only adds to the weight as well. The material itself is soft and comfortable. The 3/4 zip to vent was great. Sleeve length with thumbs holes covered hands well. There is no way I would use this to surf. Fish yes. If it had a lighter weight material and ditched the hard visor hood thing it would be perfect.

Versatile sun hoody

I wasn’t quite sure what I’d do with this hoody but wanted something lightweight that protected me in the sun. I’m an avid runner and thought I’d wear this on runs, but turns out, I’ve mostly used it on the water as suggested. It’s a perfect pool shirt to wear in the water or before / after. It’s a bit too heavy, in my opinion, for more active activities like running.

Comfortable sun protection

Light, comfortable. Slight visor on the hood may reduce rain on my face (but it's a water shirt so everything else gets soaked, of course). The sleeve length is generous, which I appreciate with my long arms. I like the UPF 50 protection that includes my head.

Great for warm and sunny wx on the water!

Definitely my favorite amongst similar sun hoodies for warm/hot and sunny sail racing! I really like the slight brim and rear adjustment of the hood in particular as you can adjust for comfort and sun protection without blocking one's peripheral vision. Wicks water and/or sweat quite effectively as well and therefore tends to dry very fast. Maybe a tad heavier (but much more durable) material than other options.
