Lightweight Breathable jacket!

Received free product

I was able to spend quite a bit of time with this product and there are definitely some pros and cons to this jacket! But that being said I do think this jacket does pretty well for what I use it for. I tested this jacket while in running and hiking conditions. I have been using this jacket mostly for my daily runs and some of the things i like about the jacket is that it seems breathable and can cut down some of the wind chill factors which is a plus doing my runs early morning especially when I do most of my runs by the Puget sound which can be pretty windy. I felt like I could keep this jacket on, most of my run time without it getting overly sweaty because of how much it breathes, granted i run in the morning so it’s usually colder. Another thing I love about this jacket is that it feels pretty lightweight which is something I’m always looking for especially when it comes to running or long distance hiking, I like doing a minimalist weight approach, the less weight for me the better. I like the overall look and feel of the jacket, I feel likes it’s a good all around jacket as long as weather conditions are not to extreme. Along side using this as a running jacket I have also taking this to some of my hikes as well! I went to silver falls state park early morning and took it around the loop. Which the same reason I liked for running, I liked it as well for hiking because of its breathable and lightweight design. It was nice to have in the morning, but as it started to warm up I was able to pack it up and my bag without feeling like a was carry extra dead weight. So some of my cons of this jacket are just some little things. I wish it was a little more fitted, it is a little more loose then what I typically would want to use especially while running, it seemed like the design could be trimmed down a little or maby if there is another size down that would maby make it a little more fitted for me, I run on the smaller and more lean side, so something a little more fitted would be amazing! But it’s just a minor thing. I do like the front pocket on the jacket but I think a couple of side pockets would be amazing as well! Specially for like carrying car keys or other small items so that they are not bouncing around one big pocket. Another thing you have to consider with this jacket is it doesn’t do very well In the rain for a long period of time. It does seem fine In some light rain but this jacket is definitely more for favorable weather conditions. I’d say my overall thoughts on this jacket are pretty good except for the few things I mentioned. I am definitely going to still be using this jacket for awhile especially with the weather starting to look better. I would recommend this jacket for people who are just dying daily activities and non aggressive weather.

Super lightweight and very comfortable/functional

Received free product

The Swiftland Pack Running Anorak has proven to be a very versatile and useful piece of kit. It is excellent for travel, as it is very lightweight and packs up into its own extremely small pocket. I've taken it on a couple trips as a result, and it was a perfect additional layer when I went for a run in the misty weather of the Pacific northwest. It does a nice job of blocking the wind from the front, and repelling water, while the venting on the back kept it from overheating. The dual cinch cords at the waist and mid-torso let me dial in the fit to keep it from billowing like a sail, too. Finally, the thumb loops are a unique design that are pretty comfortable to use.

So thin, so functional :)

Received free product

Cuffs are a bit snug when thumb loops are used ( size 10 glove for reference ) Good venting through back and under arms Packs away in to it's kangaroo pocket, not much will fit in said pocket when anorak is worn. Very comfortable in 65° sun at 45 mph on a bike :) Plenty long; 5'9" and covers my rear. Sargasso color soaks up the sun a bit, not uncomfortably. Super lightweight and packable; easy choice to throw in a pocket.

BEST lightweight jacket

I purchased this in a size XXS. I’m a woman who wears a size small normally and it fit perfectly. Great for a morning warm up or a trail run in the mountains

REI, please sell me another one–Pink in Large Tall

This is the best item of clothing I've ever owned. I check back once every week or two hoping they'll have another one in my size in case this one wears out. The pink looks fly. The yellow is high visibility on my bike. The fit is dope. The packability is rad. This over a long sleeve shirt is perfect for anything between 10 and 50 degrees. This thing powered my winter bicycle commute, several games of winter pickleball, and I'm sad that I have only one.

Overall good but not that water resistant

Overall a good jacket but not as water resistant as I thought. It’s lightweight and nice for colder weather runs. Product is described as water resistant, but I ran in the rain onetime and was pretty soaked. I’d recommend looking for something else if you want a more water proof jacket. This one is probably better for drizzling rain.

Great lightweight running jacket for light rain

Received free product

Tested this out in multiple conditions, from cold to windy to light rain to heavy rain. If you're looking for a fully waterproof running jacket - this is not that. But it a great balance of protection from the elements and breathability, while being very lightweight. In soaking rain, you will get wet and it will soak through, although nothing will keep you dry from pouring rain when you are running. Dries very quickly though. Really effective at shielding from wind and provides some warmth particularly when it get to <40. As for fit, I am 5'8" and 165lbs and this jacket ran a little big baggy on me. It thought this might be a big problem in windier weather but it does have a cinch cord at the bottom and at the waist, which makes it more streamlined.. Arm length was fine - not too long or short. The thumb loops are also very useful as is the small zip pouch in front for snacks or trash. Its a small pocket too which prevents too much swishing around from whatever you put in there. It packs to just about nothing so very easy to pack and carry with you. Overall, I really liked this jacket and have found myself reaching for it more times than not when the weather is turning rainy.

Solid & breathable! wind shirt for a decent price

Beats Patagonia Houdini. For $66 (on Sale) this is a very good wind shirt with EXCELLENT breathability. For 90% of the time this level of breathability is the better choice vs. a less breathable "pseudo rain jacket" like the Patagonia Houdini. Like the kangaroo pocket and thumb loops. And it's sustainably produced. 4.5 oz, is a quite acceptable if not stellar weight. Might be better with a hood but a bit on the fence about that one.

Versatile gear!

I bought this a week ago and have worn it every day since. Super versatile piece of gear. Super light weight and packs up where you do t notice. My problem in the past with gear like this is that it’s never breathable but this definitely is and provides just enough protection from the elements while keeping you extra cozy. 10/10 would recommend to bigger fellas who want a breathable layer.
