Love these. So darn comfortable.
I've downhill skied for 30 years out West and there's not much I can't ski...bumps, trees, powder, steeps or groomers. That said, back when I started skiing rear entry style boots were quite popular and I could ski anything on the mountain with them. My boots were never what limited me. I eventually wanted new equipment, which included boots and I switched to standard boots. I had a few pairs over the years. They were all fine, but I didn't ski any better with front entry. I did dislike how hard they were to get on and off, plus front entry ran colder due to how much they constrict your feet. I was intrigued when rear entry came back. I was a little skeptical, but figured I would try them. I've had these for two seasons now and I love these things. Super comfortable, super easy to take on and off (like seconds and with no effort) and generally warmer. My feet never get cold. They do run a touch big and you may need to play around with inserts, but you'll need to do that with most boots. REI will give you cork inserts for under the footbed if needed.
