Pleasantly surprised
My first thought when I saw these shoes was they were very clunky looking and probably would be heavy on. I was wrong about them being heavy. They are lightweight and oh so comfortable to wear. I’m finally back in the office and wore them all day. My feet were in heaven. I have flat feed with a wider toe box so these shoes were amazing for me. They are cushiony and have just enough arch support, exactly what I needed. My only wish is that I had got them in a more feminine color, but they are basic black/tan so they should be able to go with a lot of things.
Gorgeous, comfy, and versatile shoes!
The Dansko Merrin black shoes are gorgeous! They’re also surprisingly comfortable with a nice high arch and cushy insole. I was pleasantly surprised by the adjustable strap which I did need to tighten slightly. I usually wear a size 7, so got a size 38. The toe is nice and roomy so you could wear these shoes with or without socks. I’ve worn these shoes with dresses, leggings, and jeans. They’re very versatile and can be worn with so many different outfits. I absolutely love them!
Just What I Needed
I love these shoes! As a teacher, my shoes need to meet specific criteria: they must be comfortable because I am on my feet and running around A LOT; they must be verstile enough to wear with pants, dresses, and even jeans; they must be supportive; they must function well when playing the piano as I play for weekly school Masses as well as at my church. A colleague told me about these a while ago, so I'm thrilled to finally own a pair, and I can honestly say that they live up to her praise. I just spent a day in my classroom, getting it ready, and I wore these. My feet feel fabulous! I tried them on with a variety of clothes, and I am so happy that they look good with dresses. Usually, I end up with uncomfortable shoes to complete a dressier look, but these look and feel great. I am also a big hiker, so I often return on Monday mornings with sore feet and knees. Having just completed a major hike before wearing these in my classroom for a day, I can confirm that they will be my go-to shoes on those post-hike Mondays. Finally, I practiced piano with these on, and because they have the heel strap on them, they stayed on and worked well as I pedaled. All-in-all, I think these shoes will be a great addition to my professional and casual wardrobe.
Decent all around shoe.
I received this product for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. I work in healthcare. Many of my colleagues swear by Dansko so when I had the chance to review a pair I jumped at the opportunity. I’ve worn these both in the hospital and out for the last week or so. They are overall a good pair of shoes. Relatively comfortable. I like the strap on the back. If this was an open clog I would have lost a shoe hurrying around or climbing stairs. My biggest complaint was height of the shoe. I wear zero-drop shoes usually so I definitely felt like I couldn’t feel the floor as well and that took some getting use to. I moved a little slower and more deliberately - falling off this heel could result in at least a pretty bad ankle sprain. They were decently grippy though. My feet were a bit sore at the end of a 12 hour shift but these are still quite new and are definitely better than some of my previous footwear choices. I have pretty flat feet so the arch support in this shoes may have been more than I needed. The leather upper did make this shoe a decent option to wear as clinic foot wear. Because of the chunky design a boot cut pant works better than slim-cut or ankle length pants.
Most comfortable shoes ever.
These clogs are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. They will be perfect for every day wear this fall and for work (I am a nurse practitioner so on my feet a lot). They are excellent quality and well-constructed. I have sort of wide feet and they are not tight. I also like how they have a strap on the back so they don't slip. Although I don't typically wear clog type shoes I find these ones to be attractive and stylish.
Comfortable but not non-slip.
They are pretty comfortable with a little arch support. I got them for restaurant work but they are not non-slip. That was disappointing.
