This ski has consistently made me feel confident and powerful on all types of terrain worldwide! The rocker in the tips and tails alongside the traditional underfoot camber lets you float through powder, charge through crud and lock in big GS turns on groomers. I love the versatility of this ski, I recommend the SOS for anyone who wants a single quiver shredder that is fairly lightweight, a length for everyone and looks STUNNING on snow. Especially those on the west coast or anywhere with a marine snowpack! I've rocked a pair for 8 seasons now with 60+ days on snow! Can't wait to mount this sick new graphic for the upcoming season!
I got on my first pair of SOS skis back in 2017 and haven't looked back! Since then, I've been on 3 different models of the SOS and it is literally the one ski quiver. I use it to ski park, pow, crud, groomers, you name it! I've never loved a ski more, it does great at high speeds, cutting through crud, and floating through pow! At 101mm underfoot it's a great ski for someone looking for the one ski that does it all. I mounted it with the look pivot at the recommended mounting point and think it's the perfect setup!
I wanted to love these skis so badly, but they really disappointed me. The top sheet cracked after barely skiing two days on them. Considering the cost, it's obvious these skis are made cheaply. The construction of the ski is confusing to me too. The extremely wide turn radius paired with a park ski-like twin tip just doesn't make sense. They felt too clunky and hard to steer in trees and on bumps, yet it was also difficult to fully lay down a carve on piste. Even in powder, where they supposedly excel, I found myself wishing the tips were wider. I'm really bummed. I wanted to love these, considering how excited I was finding out about this awesome woman-led company. I also feel like I only read glowing reviews. I've skied almost 200 days over the last 2 years and have demo'd lots of different skis. There are WAY better skis out there, for similar cost or even less. I genuinely do not know what kind of skier I would recommend these to.
I have been riding the same SOS skis for three seasons now across different mountains/terrain. I cannot recommend this all-mountain ski enough - from cruddy snow to soft powder, I always feel comfortable. They are durable but also soft and easy to control. I am an SOS girl for life!
My absolute favorite ski! Every best day I have had skiing has been on and because of this ski! SOS’s adapt to the personality of the skier and you get 100% of the energy back you put into each turn. This ski balanced high performance responsiveness with playfulness perfectly making it the perfect ski to rip down the mountain!
This is my third season on these skis, and they have never let me down! I have been an instructor for almost 15 years and they are my fav pair I've ever owned! I live on the east coast and they hold edges well in the east coast crud, they're super fun on the groomers, AND they can hold their own in more powish conditions when we travel out west! They mean it when they say a one-ski quiver, because this one does it all. I've loaded them out to teach beginners on them, and they are still fun to rip on as an advanced skier as well.
They're my reliable all-mountain shredders! No matter the terrain/snow, I know these skis will have my back. I feel stable and solid on these, even cutting through chunder and icy crud, and as an adaptive skier that's pretty dang important for me. I've skied on my SOS's in MT, WA, OR, CO, and VT and so far they've slayed in every type of snow they've been in. Fierce, fun, and forgiving; I don't know if I'll find a better all-around set of shred sticks than these
The SOS consistently delivers. When she says "All Mountain" she means All Mountain. A perfect one ski quiver with reliable stiffness, "turnability", and just enough under foot to make you giddy on a powder day. LOVE LOVE this ski and rarely go anywhere without her.
The SOS is a strong and stable ski. It has a wide turn radius, and skis like a boat, plowing over inconsistencies in the snow. It can handle any terrain you take it through. This is a ski I can rely on to land airs, and hold an edge. It’s also super fun to let them rip down some groomers! Overall, great ski for when you’re skiing all over the mountain.
The SOS truly are the do it all ski. The tips stay floating through any kind of deep snow-cold smoke or cement. They pop with energy and rail groomers. Plus this year’s top sheets? Friggin’ fantastic.
