Comfortable and sized right for kids
My kids really enjoyed these snow goggles. It was their first time ever wearing anything like this, and I was concerned when I had my daughter try them on initially because she said that everything was blurry when she looked through. However, that was because I forgot to remove the protective film from the inside. Go figure. My kids are just starting to try snowboarding, and I use that loosely as they have a junior snowboard that they can use on a sledding hill I need to get them out on an actual slope, but until I do they are having fun. We finally had some snow and my kids got to get out and have some fun. It was cold and windy, which was perfect to have them try the googles, and there was some sun out too so they got to experience the reduction in glare which these goggles do provide. Both my kids found these goggle comfortable and useful when they were wearing them. My son commented that he wasn't squinting as much when he had them on versus when he didn't. He liked that. My daughter found them comfortable. From my observation, I liked the size and how they fit my kids faces, as they are 10 and 11 it is helpful to see them wear something that fits them, instead of using my snow goggles and having to wrench them tight, but them take over their faces. Tightening and loosening the googles was really easy with the clips, they didn't hurt my fingers and I could adjust quickly and on the fly as my kids took turns using them. Something else that I noticed that I liked was the silicone ridge on the inside of the band. My kids weren't wearing the proper helmet, pre se, but this band would assist in the holding tight and not slipping. The cushioning is soft and allows the right amount of airflow so as to prevent fog on the inside, but preventing wind and snow from getting in on the eyes. The only thing I was missing, which is a minor deal because I have so many of them, was a sack or case to put them in, or microfiber cloth to clean them with. I have several of the latter so I could easily take care of that, but having a case or a sack to put them in would have been nice they don't get scratched when not in use. All in all, my kids really liked them, and have used them this winter and plan to use them when they get out on larger slopes and really learn how to snowboard.
Quality performance goggles for kids winter sports
Super warm goggles for cold weather! My kids recently used these snowboarding Sugar Mountain in NC. The lens did a good job of removing the glare from the sunny, bright slopes. Very comfortable and breathable; the goggles did not fog up the whole day. The strap was easy to adjust. A friend tried with a helmet and it was easy to take on and take off. The blue/green lens color looks really cool and received several compliments. The tint from the inside is orange which really helps on the bright white slopes - when you take off the goggles you can see what a huge difference they make.
Youth/kids snow goggles from Smith
Nice pair of ski/snowboard goggles. Perfect size and fit for my 9 yo son. He likes the look and feel. He says they fit comfortably on his face. We haven't been out on slopes yet with them yet, but looking forward to the anti-fog feature. The lens has a nice high reflective mirror finish that will do well on bright and sunny days. The lens is distortion free, good optics. Smith makes a quality product for a reasonable price
Great Fit for my 9 y/o beginner skiier!
It's always been a challenge looking for ski equipment for our kids esp when they are young. We've been looking for something that can give great field of vision and doesn't esily slip off of their helmet. The Smith Snowday Googles totally met the criteria. They are comfortable and it has a silicone strap on the inside surface of the straps so that it doesn't slip - this small detail makes a world of difference. Not having to take off my gloves to readjust my son's goggles or not having them slip when he falls. Also we are Chinese and sometimes it's been hard looking for something that fits our nose well and it was a very comfortable fit. I also like how you have the option of swapping out the lenses. Though it doesn't come with one. Esp since it doesn't come with a case or a bag. I think this would have been nice to have, since the goggles for the older kids have been pretty scratched up and we were not able to just switch out the lens. Overall, it was a great fit and most importantly my 9 y/o was willing to keep it on the whole time we were on the slopes!
Great Kids Goggles!
These are very stylish and comfortable goggles for kids/youth. My daughter (7) loved them. We had to mess around a bit with the strap to get the fit right, but once adjusted she found them very comfortable and enjoyed the clear vision through them. She doesn't wear glasses but there was a lot of room between her face and the lens so I think they would work well for a kid who wore glasses. The fit to the face was excellent and very comfortable - she didn't complain at all. She liked the way she could see through them. As mentioned above, the initial adjustment on the strap was a little interesting, but once we figured it out, there were no problems. These are definitely designed for kids though - they would be VERY tight even on a small headed adult! I would have liked these goggles to come in a small drawstring bag, that could double as a cleaning cloth. That would have been a really nice feature. I am worried that these will get scratched up as they get tumbled around with the other outdoor gear on trips.
Great Goggles for Kids!
Smith Kids Goggles Comfortable, high-quality goggles designed for kids but can work for adults in a pinch. I had both children use them, a 10-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy. This was the first time for both of them to wear goggles, so there was an adjustment period. Once the goggles were adjusted correctly and they got used to them, both children loved them. They are used to wearing sunglasses, but they didn't want to share once they realized the snug fit of the goggles and how they stay in place better when sledding, skiing, or even playing in the snow, My kids had no problem with the lenses fogging up or becoming sweaty after a hard run. They will also fit over prescription glasses with no trouble if needed. This goes for any goggles and 1st time users. It would be best to be patient, especially parents, with their kids using the goggles. The snug fit and wraparound lens take time to get used to.
Try on with helmet before purchase
We received these goggles to try out for our daughter. They are of a nice quality and appear to be well made. However, my 9-year-old daughter found them to be uncomfortable with her ski helmet, too small around the eyes, and the band was too tight while being expanded to the max. She wears a S/M helmet(Bollé 55cm) and has been skiing for 5 years. We plan on using them for our younger daughter (Age 7), which is why I gave them 4-stars. They are nice but I recommend trying them on in person before purchasing if you want to use them with a non-Smith helmet.
Great Kids' Goggles
These are great goggles for kids. The lenses are great for visibility in extremely bright conditions. The strap is adjustable for a broad range of head sizes and will not slip. My 10yo son and 8yo daughter both approved of the fit and said they were extremely comfortable. The goggles are big enough to last them for a long time while still fitting well right now.
Great kids goggle!
Fits my daughter great (12) was able to use them on the slopes over the weekend for both skiing and snow tubing, my nieces also wore them for their excursions in the snow as well (ages 6&8) fits well with a helmet, there was no complaints of not feeling comfortable from Any of the kids. I also tried them on and although tight, were very clear but def not for larger adult, I would imagine a very small Adult would do well with these but otherwise stick to getting them for the kids!
Good goggle if you don't wear glasses.
With el nino winter we haven't had any snow but we did get to use these out on the trail. Goggles do a great job protecting eyes and fit well on head as well as on a helmet. They do not fit over glasses though.
