My grand daughter loves it! She turned 9 and is nice and cozy in it. Will be perfect for camping next summer too and slumber parties in the winter.
Themal rating didn't come close. I wouldn't bring this camping if evening temperatures are going to drop below 55F. My 8 yr old used it on a damp Scout spring campout and it wasn't warm enough. Surprisingly he was also too cold weeks later at an early summer school campout. He normally runs hot and kicks off blankets so I thought this sleeping bag would have been fine. Otherwise he loved the size & color.
We purchased this for my 4yo daughter in advance of a Scout camping trip she was joining alongside my son. It worked well and they both wanted to use it the whole time. It kept us warm on a cool night in Georgia, and most importantly, it is super easy to unpack and pack back up in your tent the next morning. We will likely buy another for my son.
From feedback to field testing, all of our gear is dialed-in by REI Co-op members. Their adventures informed every stitch and detail—making for better, longer-lasting gear.
