Great jacket buy the next size up!
If you don’t know this Kuhl tops run small, shirts, sweatshirts, jackets you have to get the next size up. I am a L in everything else but Kuhl. I love this jacket, it is my favorite jacket, and I have a lot of jackets… I love the look and feel and the warmth. I live in the PNW and this jacket is perfect for the climate. It’s not waterproof, but the material is pretty thick and it absorbs a lot of rain before soaking through. So normal wear in the city you don’t have to worry about. I would not use it exclusively camping.

too tight
i tried this on the other day because i LOVE Kuhl and thought this would be my jacket for winters to come but it was so uncomfortably tight around the shoulders and sleeves, and i’m a pretty skinny guy too. looking at reviews from the non insulated burr jacket it looks like this problem wasn’t fixed.

Nice look, but will not keep you warm.

I love the look, but it was a mistake to buy this jacket: it just isn't worm enough for Philly (at a regular Nov temperature of 38 I am shivering to the bones). PS: regarding size: they run small, but I just got one size larger than usual. I dont think this is a problem, if you do buy this jacket I recommend doing so in-store to check which size you need.

Not a winter jacket

Very nice looking jacket. Has a cafe racer style and very sturdy. The jacket isn’t very good at retaining heat. Wind blows right through it. Seems at home above 40 degrees. Zipper handle is small and thus difficult to use with gloves on. Zipper teeth are relatively sharp/unrefined.

Excellent Jacket, Fades Quickly

Great fit, and great initial quality. The color started to fade almost immediately, and was very noticeable after 1 month of use. The seams turned white with the fade and the jacket looked over a year old after 1 month. Some might prefer the 'worn in' look quickly (think carhartt). 5 stars for REI policies and standing by their products.

Bomb(er) mountain jacket

Love the bomber jacket look and feel. Perfect for fall - think 30-55 degrees. Fabric shows a worn-in look. The zippers are strangely sharp, but don't catch on anything so they've been fine. My new daily-wear. Kuhl always runs small, so order a size up.

Great looking jacket for the winter season

This jacket has very good cut to create a perfect fit style unlike other insulated jacket in the market. I have worn it in the high 20s and kept me warm. Great value jacket.

Rugged, stylish, and WARM.

I have some puffy coats which are super warm, but they easily tear so I never want to wear them when I'm working outsdie. This jacket, on the other hand, is very sturdy, like good for cutting down trees and carrying armloads of firewood. It is comfortable too and suprisingly warm considering that it doesn't look very heavy. I like the long cut of the sleeves. The fuzzy collar is especially nice--soft and warm--and it has that cool shearling look.

Warm and wind resistant!

Very warm, wind resistant jacket! Fleece around collar area is very comfortable. Nice pockets. Jacket looks great! Athletic styling and cut to the jacket. Size up if you want to wear multiple heavier layers underneath. I wear a long sleeve t-shirt and sweater/fleece underneath and it’s comfortable. Can wear dressed up or down. I have the uninsulated Burr as well. This one is much warmer for the winter months here in New England.
