Great fit and great materials

These tights keep you warm. Used them on trail runs down in the 20s and 30s. Also on some very windy road runs. Great on the track for some speed work too. When exposed to the wind, the different material keeps it out across the crotch and thighs. Everywhere else the fabric is super soft and warm, very comfortable and breathable. I’m 5’6” 160lbs, 30x30 in normal pants, the fit is perfect. Not long and not tight in the upper crotch area. The materials and quality are nice. I’m not a fan of the waist band, it’s comfortable and the tie off is fine, but it likes to roll down a little at the very top if you bend over or wear a waist pack on long runs. The zip pocket on the right thigh is big enough to hold a small phone, key, or something like an energy gel. All in all great tights.

Didn't know I needed tights like these

I used these tights for some morning runs in brisk fall temperatures (40F-low 50s). The Gore Infinium material on the front of the leg is great - stops the wind and adds an element of insulation factor by keeping some warmth in. It is a sort of soft-shell material but I didn't find it to be loud at all while running, no concerns with that. Feels very sturdy at the same time, like these will last longer than your typical tight/baselayer you may wear under shorts for cold weather activity. The thinner stretchy material on lower & back of leg is great too - allows the breathability factor so these don't feel clammy. I would usually just go with shorts and then layer up top but with these tights I can do the opposite and still feel warm and protected. Fabric very comfy on the inside of the tight as well. The side pocket is perfect size for phone, a card or two, house key. Waist band is nice balance of stretch, breathable mesh-like material plus drawstring. These have not felt loose at all nor restrictive. I'm 5'9 and 155lbs for reference. Medium fit me very well, maybe a an inch long on the inseam but that's my fault for not being taller! The volume of the legs is perfect for me, I don't have huge legs by any means but do play soccer and do a fair bit of hiking, so take that for what it's worth. I have other Arc'teryx hard/soft shell pants for hiking & skiing in both Small & Medium - I think fit-guide would tell me to go toward Small. I would say I am just between sizes so try these on if you can.

Fantastic Winter Running Tights

I'm a big fan of the Norvan Hybrid tights! The only downside to these is that they keep you so warm Even when I was on a slow jog with temps in the low 30's these kept me toasty. Honestly, they are probably best suited for temps in the teens and 20's. The windproof fronts are really nice and breathe really well. Even when I was warm I never sweat through these. I really appreciate that they made a pair of tights that aren't as tight in the crotch area (TMI?). You will never have to wear shorts over these, but they are still quite tight over your legs. I'm 5'9" and wear 32x30 pants and the Mediums are a bit too long, but the fit is perfect otherwise. These are definitely my new go to winter running tights.

Great tights for colder runs and bike rides!

From the photos and description, I first thought these would be (loose-fitting) joggers, however they're definitely very fitted tights. I got the small based on my shorter inseam, and they were definitely tight across my waist (34ish) and calves, but the right length - there's some stretch to them, but they use a less stretchy kind of wind-proof material across the thighs. The combination of wind-proof material and subtle fleece lining makes them plenty warm. Tried them out for both a sub-40 run and sub-40 mountain bike ride and didn't experience any chilliness. The fit during the activities was great as well; didn't notice or feel any restricted movement. The color is nice as well, they have a nice pop! And they held up perfectly to the occasional grab by your typical desert shrubbery, including sagebrush and tumbleweed.

Exactly what I was looking for

Purchased these for winter running. I have other pants and leggings that I use, but sometimes if it’s too cold/windy (-15 to -20C) my thighs are the only part getting cold, so these address that issue. I have worn them a few times underneath pants and shorts, and they seem to be doing their job. Impressive how breathable and high quality. They are very comfortable yet I have no concerns about durability. I ordered my usual size (large) and they fit as expected. My only suggestion is for a slightly larger pocket as it does not fit my iPhone 14 Pro Max with a case. This is not a huge issue for me though as I have other pockets in the gear I’m wearing. Overall very impressed!

Just right for cool and breezy

These are not really insulated - no fuzzy lining for example - so they are not especially warm. But they are perfect for our current cool mornings with breezy conditions. The wind block and moisture resistance also works well at the coast, which can be both wet and windy. The fit is fine for me, snug but not confining like some tights. I had to get used to the feel and sound(!) putting them on and wearing them, as the Gore-Tex gives the same experience as rain pants. They move well once on though. I appreciate the adult inseam; the tights come down over my ankles, which I prefer.

Not that warm!

These are fine pants for running, but I was expecting them to be quite a bit warmer. I wore them for a run when it was damp and about 30°F (northern Colorado), and they were colder than my cheap fabric running tights! They weren't uncomfortable or anything, but the fact that they were chilly at 30°F makes me question whether they would be warm enough in the 20s or teens. If these were $60 tights they would be totally fine, but at $190 I was expecting something more.

Perfect inclement weather tights

I used these tights as on multiple runs ranging from 36-50 degrees F. I would definitely take them to colder temperatures, likely down to about 20 degrees. 50 was the warmest I would want to go. I really enjoyed the wind proofing on the front of the legs. I have been looking for a good way to protect the front of my legs during wind and rain, these finally solved the problem. The other material was thin enough to allow breathability and keep me from getting too hot while running hills. I also liked that the wind proofing material did not continue completely between the legs because that would have caused an annoying swooshing sound while running and walking. I give these running tights 5 stars for the protection provided against the elements while not being too hot to wear. The one change I would make is to have shorter versions of the tights. The legs were slightly long for me, but I put the extra material down by my ankles.

5 stars plus

Review after 1st month/200 Km/15 time wash machine; slightly changed my mind on the fitting, true size, they have become more comfortable, matter of few millimetres just on waist band, very enjoyable now. The hybrid parts still perfect. At the end, they are not fitting so small as in the beginning I thought. Another consideration, the temperature in the N-Europe is very mild this winter, and the Norvan Hybrid have become the master piece for the running "always outside". Again 5 stars plus.

Perfect for winter running

I was looking for winter running tights and I am very happy with these! The wind protection fabric is placed perfectly on the front and more breathable fabric behind. I add a merino wool base layer under them for very cold temperatures (-10C and below) and I'm very confortable. I have found that the articulated features are better then other windstopper thights I've worn from another company. I would have like if the thigh pocket could hold my phone but it's a little to small.
