Great XC ski jacket with easy to reach pockets

The jackets is perfect length in sleeves and body for my 5'8" XL body. I was a bit reluctant at first about not having zippered pockets but this past week I wore it XC skiing for several days and found that I could easily reach inside my pockets to change gloves while my backpack hip belt was tightened. The light snow brushed off the shoulders and it seemed to breath well. It was only about 30 degrees in the mornings when we headed out and I started out with two light layers underneath. I ended up taking of one under layer and just skied with the one light layer underneath. LOVE the color. The color is much deeper and richer than on line.

Hole in Pocket Seam After a Few Wearings

I was happy with the fit, especially the long-enough sleeves (I’m tall, long-limbed). It wasn’t as warm as I hoped, but it was a nice mid-layer and much less bulky than fleece. What prompted this review, and the reduced number of stars, was the small hole that formed at the bottom of where the pocket was stitched to the front panel. I hadn’t even worn this enough to need to launder it. And it’s not like I had worn it when I’d have been inclined to jam my hands into the pockets and stress the seam.

Light weight works great!

I was looking for a light weight jacket that keeps me warm. This jacket does just that! I'm not taking it in the snow but to throw on when it's chilly out works. 4 stars because the shoulders lay a bit more boxy than I wanted. Other than that I'm glad I purchased it.

I absolutely love the jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket is super cute! I wear it daily since I purchased it. Only Con is the zipper is hard to zip up and only reason I didnt rate this a five! Regardless I have received so many compliments! Would buy this again!

I definitely buy this product again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very good quality. Fits great. I love the color and my favorite part is with the hand sleeve option around the thumb. I actually would like to purchase another one in a different color as well.

This jacket is a keeper.

I searched a long time for the right winter running jacket. Living in Colorado, it makes a great outer layer no matter the winter temperature. I have another light running jacket that is fine for cool fall and spring mornings, but this Northface jacket is warmer, more durable, and more comfortable. The soft sleeves are long enough to pull my hands into when the temps are low or the wind is blowing. While I usually wear a medium, I sized up to a large so I can add additional under layers for our extra cold winter mornings. I really love this jacket.

Perfect for cool weather hiking.

Absolutely love this jacket. While I am not a runner (too many ankle issues/surgeries in my past) I am an avid hiker and this jacket is perfect for my current fall hikes. It is super comfortable, warm but not hot, moves with me and is all together wonderful.

Perfect for the job

Fits true to size. I got it for work! I’m a dental hygienist so it’s always sub freezing temperatures at the office. This jacket is perfect to keep me warm while I scrape away. Thanks rei!!! I’m 5’8 138 lbs and typically wear size small.
