Supportive and beautiful
I have been wearing Huai shoe for active vacation adventuring/photography in the highlands of Scotland. These shoes perform very well in all conditions! They are comfortable, supportive, and easy to clean. Two days ago we found ourselves in a bog while attempting to photograph puffins in the wild. They even held up to that! In the morning the Huia were dry and pretty clean looking! I highly recommend this shoe. My one criticism is that this shoe is pretty narrow. I have a wide foot and tend to do fine with all Olukai shoes. They are my absolute favorite. I went up a size to give myself a smidge more space. I wish they offered this show in a wide. The bottoms are thick and supportive. The terrain we have been adventuring through has been tough and varying. My feet have held up incredibly well thanks to Olukai. Side note, I began to support Olukai because they support Hawaii. I own nearly a dozen pair because they are the best shoes on top of having a heart that beats like mine. Thanks Olukai!
Well Fitting Shoe
I bought this shoe in black, size 8. My normal shoe size is 7.5, but in an athletic shoe I usually wear an 8. The toe box is wide enough to accommodate my foot, but the rest of the shoe is narrow enough that it doesn't gap or slip in the heel. It's comfortable with sufficient support and breathability for a closed shoe that you tend to wear w/o socks. I bought these specifically for hip replacement surgery. They've worked out well; they're easy to put on and take off, and they make a nice addition to any wardrobe.
Nice shoe, but too tight
The shoe fit great lengthwise, but it's way too tight across the top and there is no way to loosen the laces. I have an average size 8 foot. I usually don't have any issues with buying my size. I really wanted to love this shoe. Unfortunately, I had to return them.
Like A Ukulele…Smooth
Light and easy to put on. The fit is great and I will certainly purchase another pair.
Fit is too restrictive
Too snug. Looks nice but the fit is like a glove instead of a sneaker. Hard to get on because the middle part is confining. Concerned that once it stretches out some, the shape of the shoe will be ruined by my big toe pushing against it. Definitely not good for my bunions

Very comfortable. Love them for that. Hard to get on. The stretchy top for slipping your foot in is too tight
Love my OluKai Sneakers!!
I love my OluKai Hula sneakers! At first they were a bit snug fitting but after a few hours of wearing them, they fit perfect! Super comfy!! Definitely recommend!

Look and feel great
These sneakers are very comfortable. The laces are fixed, so you do have to maneuver your foot to the end of the toe before guiding in your heel. So far I have used them for indoor workouts in prep for using outdoor on trips involving extensive walking, but this may not be necessary because they don’t appear to need “breaking in” time. They are also attractive and a step above normal sneakers for an informal but elevated look.
Hoping they will improve with time
The footbed and arch support are very nice especially if you have ever suffered from plantar fascitis. I do find these to feel a bit 'tight' overall - like my feet are in a compression chamber. Perhaps they will loosen up over time. If you're thinking of wearing them with the heel portion rolled in, don't. That's very uncomfortable.
