Best pair of pants I have ever owned. I bought these 5 weeks ago and I am buying another today. These are expensive for me, but I have worn at least 3 times a week. I am usually in Jeans. I wear a 10 in the KUHL skinny jeans and went down a size in these. They are warm without being too warm, I wear inside, at work and out walking the dogs. Dressy enough for a night out with a great sweater. I am in Wisconsin so cold weather. They are pretty wind and rain/snow resistant. So comfortable right amount of stretch that doesn't bag out. VERY FLATTERING! I am 5'3" 130 pounds a bit more pear shaped. I bought the 8 short, which I think is the 30" inseam.
I exchanged another brand winter hiking pant for the Klash pants, but most likely with return them. I guess some purchasers like the button closure more than a snap closure, but I do not. I found the closure very hard to open, especially with very cold hands on a winter hike. And that narrow leg pocket...behind the seam on the left leg! Most hiking pants with cargo type pockets, have one on each leg, or if just one it's on the right leg. Very awkward to try and grab my phone to snap a photo, or pay for an item. It's really too bad...otherwise the lined pants are comfortable. I keep searching for women's pants with adequate pockets.
This newer version is just awful. They took away several great features and turned these into a regular pair of pants that are no longer useful as hiking pants. - One, they took away the ankle zippers, so no more easy on and off. - Secondly, they moved the thigh-pocket to the back of the leg, so if you are coming down a very steep-hill and need to slide down on your rear-end for a moment or two, you have to remember to move your phone. Or, if you still down to eat your lunch, be careful you don't sit on your phone. I'm definitely returning these to the store.
These pants are AMAZING. I love them so much I bought a second color. They are lightly lined which make them warm and cozy, but also have the perfect stretch to them. The material feels "thicker" than other trail pants I have, which is perfect because I don't need to worry about the clothing I have under them like with some pants that are thin. I am tall, and the long inseam was perfect. They are durable, but I can also get away with wearing them to work on casual days. They are my new favorite pant. Please keep carrying long inseams and more colors!
I bought a pair of Klash pants last year which became my absolute favorite winter pant. I could easily wear them everyday! These are not the same Klash pants. The fabric appears to be the same but the fit is different. High waisted, narrow through the leg, with a shorter inseam, and no scuff guard or zippered ankle area. In addition, the pair I received has some issues in the right leg - where the leg is tight through the knee, and a full inch shorter than the left leg. Overall I find the design changes less than admirable.
I have owned 2 pairs of the Klash and came here to buy a new pair only to find the design has changed. They no longer have ankle zips, reinforced fabric on the inside of the ankles or boot hooks. The men's version still has all of these features.
Someday…. Someday… someone will make womens hiking pants with adequate pockets. It’s 2023. This is ridiculous! You have to be a man to get pants with adequate storage. Absurd.
I have accumulated 3 pair of these over the years, black, charcoal, and green. They are water resistant in misty type of rain, extremely well made, and durable. The amount of pockets and that they all zipper is what tips my review to 5 stars. I am 5'5" about 130lbs and medium fits nicely. They are pricey but this is the type of purchase that a 20% off coupon is made for. If Kuhl offers more colors without changing the product I will buy!
Wonderful slacks are true to size except the rise is short and tight in the wrong area for an average-sized woman. Size 8, 5'7" 132 lbs. Moderate warmth, good for hiking in cold weather or running errands. Great material and nice look.
I bought these pants in the Spring of 2022, and it appears from the photos that they might have fixed one of the two minor issues I have with them: the snap pops open fairly easily. However, these photos show a button, so again, that might be resolved. The other issue is that the pockets are small and come out when I remove my hands/items. Despite these two minor inconveniences, I definitely would buy another pair of these pants! They’re extremely tough/durable on the outside, with extra reinforcements near the ankles & hooks to attach to boots, yet they are lined with a cozy material & feel very comfortable even if I’m not wearing an extra base layer underneath. I have hit them with my boots, xc skis & snowshoes with no damage! They repel snow & water beautifully (yep, I have fallen MANY times while wearing them!). Best going away gift ever from my sister, who knew I would need pants like this in my new home of Colorado! Time for another pair!!
