Many more uses than anticipated!

When I first got this bottle I was thinking I would only use it when I was camping and backpacking. But actually I found it much more useful in my everyday life then initially expected. In fact, it has replaced my Nalgene (that's saying a lot). We live on a mountain well and our water has a distinct mineral well taste that is completely eliminated by use of this water bottle. I've started keeping it by my bed so that I don't have to go downstairs to our filtered water station in the middle of the night when I run out of water. I also now bring it on all my travels to eliminate microplastics and whatever other undesirables lurk in airport and city water. And it goes on hikes (see photo). So easy to fill. The straw does take some time to loosen up so that you can get water out of the water bottle easily, but stick with it and it's worth it. I love the design on the bottle. It fits in most cup holders (!), and the top is comfortable to carry by hand for shorter hikes. Anyway, in a seemingly more and more polluted world, this bottle is great. I'm going to buy one for each member of the family. 4 stars for the initial difficulty in sucking through the straw.

Ridiculous leaky bottle
I love the fact this filter bottle will remove micro plastics from drinking water. What I do not like is the leaking whenever there is a pressure change. If I have the bottle in my and the car gets warm, as in summer driving, the water will leak out of there mouthpiece. Then I have a puddle in my cup holder or it drips all over my lap if I try to drink when driving. Or, putting the bottle in my day pack's bottle holder, then driving an hour only to find water all over my seat when I remove the screw on cap. Or vice versa, take it out of the fridge and later find it leaking all over my office desk. Basically anytime there is a temp change (pressure change) the bottle leaks if the screw cap is off. Life Straw suggests to "burp" the bottle but this really in not a convenient thing to do especially while driving or when the bottle is in back seat of the car. I would return this bottle if I could find another filter bottle for micro plastics.

Solid water bottle

Received free product

Overall a good water bottle and a sleek design that can easily fit in my backpack. Pros: filters water and you can easily fill on backpacking, hiking, or any other trip Cons: it drips out if you tip it over; it’s kind of hard to suck/drink out of (I realize this is likely because of the filter), it’s not a lot of water you can have in the water bottle with the filter Personally I think I’d go my regular route of taking a separate filter system & water bottle. However if I didn’t have the tools or resources and wanted to just take one bottle, this would work great. I just refilled it so often since it doesn’t hold a lot of water.

Perfect for outdoors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always worry about the water quality when I am hiking or camping. I usually drink from a water filter at home and I prefer the same when I go out! This Life Straw go series water bottle is perfect for a person like me. It comes with a filtration system! Amazing. This supports 22oz of water. The membrane microfilter can filter 1000 gallons and carbon filter can filter 26 gallons. I am truly impressed. It is made up of BPA free plastic. It reduces chlorine and chemical material and also filters bad odor and improves taste. I am really enjoying this water bottle when I go hiking or camping. Great quality.

Almost perfect. Works great. Tastes clean.

Almost perfect. Works great. Tastes clean. Like the new filter screws in. Kinda don’t like that the lid screws onto the mouthpiece -will see how long before it rips off. Disliked how slick the mouthpiece lid is -this needs texture for grip -I lightly scored it w/ a saw to give it ridges. I wish they kept the original carabiner -I had to buy one separately

Greag bottle for short adventures

Received free product

Great bottle to filter water. Ive used it several times and there isnt a weird flavor to it like other bottles. The capacity is a bit limited (.65 liters) and the filter itself is pretty big. If youre not worried about weight, this is a good choice. The bottle construction is solid. If youre looking to cut back weight, probably not the best. The mouthpiece can be a bit difficult to suck water out of sometimes.

Adjust expectations

Received free product

Easier to use than a straw if hiking or camping, not much utility for trail running. No issues with back flow, water tasted as expected. Convenient for car camping, hiking, or everyday use if you question the water source. Super easy to clean.

Great for traveling and/or hiking

Received free product

I've had a LifeStraw water filter system for several years so I was excited to try the water bottle version. I found it easy to use, and there's not strange taste of the water. I've used it both traveling and camping and found it extremely convenient to fill up anywhere. No larger than a regular water bottle.

Very convenient option for a water filter

Received free product

This is a very convenient alternative to my current set up of a smart water bottle and a filter. I really like it all in one and much easier to drink from. Plus the bottles are way stronger then a smart water bottle

Wouldn’t buy again

I like the thought behind this but bad design. Been using for a week and still has an odd almost chemical taste to the water. Water leaks from the sip top when taking off the lid even though I blew air into it like suggested before closing lid topper. Have to suck on top like a bottle or straw and tip it. Last 2-3 ounces in bottom of bottle are unable to be utilized due to design on filter. Will Not buy again. I will try another product to use while I travel for cleaning water because this water bottle is a total miss. Don’t recommend, try another product to clean your water and pour into your own water bottle.

great for everyday use and traveling

Received free product

great for both everyday use and for traveling and camping. so much simpler than the other water filtration systems i've used, though I'll still need to have an option on hand for larger volumes of water in the backcountry. I haven't had any issues with the straw or getting water to come through - and having the straw means I'm drinking a lot more throughout the day! I also love that it's skinnier than my other bottles, which means it actually fits in my backpack compartments and cup holders.
