Huge upgrade for my Thule RTT
My Thule RTT (Tepui Explorer Kukenam) came with a super hard mattress that I could not sleep comfortably on. I tried out Hest's memory foam at an overland expo and was blown away. It is the perfect balance of cushiness and support and will not get stiff in the cold like other memory foams. The 94 by 54-inch dimensions fit my Thule perfectly and it folds closed no problem!
Total garbage
I bought this about 6 months ago and it's been just sitting in my guest bedroom, yesterday I finally had time to go camping so I tried to put this mattress in and it fits perfectly when the tent is open. But there is totally no way to close the tent once the mattress is in. I am well over 200lbs and getting on top of the tent did nothing to try to get this thing closed. So now I am throwing away nearly $800 into the garbage because REI says they won't take it back. So much for 1 year returns.
Perfect for my RTT
We love our Hest RTT! We've put this in 2 different roof top tents now and will continue to take it with us camping. It's such an upgrade to the ones that come with your tent, no matter which RTT you go with.
Like Sleeping in the Clouds
I love this mattress for my Roam Adventure Co. RTT- it's like sleeping in a cloud perched above everything. It's quiet, comfortable and easy to wash. love it!
Like my home mattress
It seems like all these negative reviews are just people not understanding the fit for their tent. This thing is awesome! I've never slept better while camping and it's just as comfortable as my mattress at home. Highly recommend! Just check the specs of your tent and make sure it fits and can close with a ~4" mattress.
Does not fit Yakima Skyrise 3
Although listed as compatible with the Yakima SkyRise 3 on the Hest website, it is not compatible. The footprint is perfect, and it is incredibly comfortable. BUT the SkyRise will not close with the Dually RTT inside the tent. It is far too thick. The mattress Yakima includes is 2.5" thick, whereas the Hest Dually RTT is 3.9" thick (7.8" thick when folded). Easy return provided by REI.
