Thoroughly impressed, I’ve worn these pants in a wide array of occasions and they haven’t let me down yet. Performed admirably in wet/muddy backcountry, but what really stuck out to me was the mobility and durability through several miles of rock scrambles. The pants articulate well and show no signs of wear after some tough miles. 5’7 150lbs Size 30R
Worn these pants to the store about 5 times and washed them twice on gentle and Never have I ever seen stitches come out of pants like these. I’ve had REI, Gerry, Eddie Bauer to name a few. Their jackets also lose stitching after two years. I’ve read reviews about there warranties so I’m going to sew my pants back together and not even bother with emailing their warranty dept. never again will I spend this much money on pants or anything from this company.
Love the pants Awesome job Only thing I was disappointed with was the zippers never came with the cords on which is a great touch on my other pants I’ve purchased from you a month ago. Thanks
Hello there, thank you for your feedback on the Gamma Pant. We appreciate your kind words about the design and are glad they’ve met your expectations overall. Regarding the zipper cords, we understand how useful they can be and will share this with our team. If you'd like assistance adding cords, feel free to reach out—we’d be happy to help!
These are the best size small fitting pants I've ever owned. They are great for everything from the office to the crag. This is the best integrated belt I've ever tested. The fabric is breathable but warmer so I would opt for something thinner in hotter temps. 6ft, 130lbs - these fit performance loose. Minimal base layer or regular underwear both layer excellently. I now want every Gamma model. Arc makes the best size small pants for my body shape out of all of the brands I've tested. The lack of a rear pocket is great for sitting on hard objects or doing core workouts.. The thigh pocket is great when wearing a harness. Highly recommend.
These pants are good three season pants or 4 seasons with a base layer. It’s stretchy and breathable. However, the biggest flaw is the belt design. There is no belt loops for adding a belt for safety. You can only rely on the built in “belt”, which is basically a stray that can’t really keep tight. The button comes loose easily with movement or when you unzip to pee. If you’re climbing and it gets loose it will fall off very easily. The belt loop hook is quite useless too as it gets unhooked easily as well when you sit down. All these stripping out features are not for the sake of going lightweight, it’s for cost saving unfortunately.
These pants are somehow worth the asking price. I remember telling a friend they feel like they were made for you by Elrond and granted to you by the elves of lorien to dry almost instantly, weigh nothing, fit perfectly, feel incredible on your skin, breathe like nothing else youve ever experienced oh and ALSO somehow stretch unilaterally, effortlessly and without longterm compromise in durability, this fabric is legit sus how good it is.
The quality is ok. Stretchy and breathable. DWR isn’t the main selling point as pretty much all outdoor softshell pants have it and it does wear out in a couple wash. The biggest problem for these pants are the tightness around the thigh and that they are super long and even for the short version. The short version should have been 29-29.5 instead of 30.5. 30.5 should have been the regular. It’s longer than any hiking/climbing pants I have owned. Wearing them inside without shoes (getting ready to head out let’s say) will require you to either roll it up or raise your heel. The length is simply a design flaw and hopefully they address it in future iterations.
I bought these over a year ago and have been wearing them weekly since then. My primary activity is climbing and occasionally hiking. These are the best climbing pants I have ever owned, they are functional, comfortable, and sturdy but not at the compromise of being too thick. They are stretchy and don’t constrict my movement at all. A must by for climbing and can be used for many other activities. My only complaint is the belt comes loose almost every time I wear them which is annoying to have to tighten them often.
I really love the fit of these. They are not too baggy and not skin tight. The length is a tad long for a 'regular' inseam, but it's better than being short. Fabric is light but not too light weight and fairly soft so doesn't make any noise when walking. The only quibble I have is that the rise is a tad short, which makes the zipper super short. I think an inch added to the zipper and/or rise, would make these perfect. Oh, I would also change the zipper on the leg to reverse the direction. When it's in the closed position, the zipper pull itself is too close to the side bolster on my car and causes them to rub on it.
I bought at first to do some indoor climbing but recently took it hiking at Rattlesnake Ledge trail in Washington State and the water resistant on it surprised me It started to rain during the hike and the ability for the pants to have that great of water resistant is amazing. after that I used it for all my hikes rain or shine the durability it has on movement and even though it was hot in one of my hikes I didn't feel like it made me more warm compared to other pants I wore before
