These are super flexible, breathable, and good for sun protection in hot, humid weather. Great travel pants, and they fit me well (< 5'4"). BUT with only two weeks of wear commuting on my bike and climbing indoors, they pilled badly in the crotch, and the fabric along the seam tore, causing the seam to start opening. The stitching along the waistband was damaged when I purchased them, which should have been a warning sign, but I bought them anyway. I think unfortunately I'll only be able to use these pants for leisure wear instead of physical activity.
I received a free pair of black pants for my honest review. I decided to put them to a 24 hour wear test, since I'll be taking a long airline trip in a few weeks. Aside from looks and comfort, I specifically wanted to see if they looked slept in, whether change fell out of the pockets, and washability. I normally wear a size 8 pants with 29" inseam and the medium fit fine, if slightly loose in the hips. Even so, they looked fine. The color is not a dark black, more like dark charcoal. The material is light and has some texture to it (not slippery) and because of it, I was worried they would easily snag. Even the cat jumping on my lap did not cause any snags. I slept in a semi-upright position as if I was on a plane and no change fell out of the pockets in spite of the fact that the pockets seemed a bit shallow. By morning, they were only slightly wrinkled, but still presentable. It is still winter where I live and I went out for a few minutes in upper 20F weather. The pants are a little thin to stay outside long, unless you are doing something really active. I washed the pants and they air dried in a few hours looking like new. Overall, these pants are versatile, comfortable, and great.
I bought these and have only worn them maybe 10 times. They are pilling on the legs and on the seat area. I’m a petite older women (5’3”) hike and backpack in Maine. I thought these would be great in the spring as they are light weight. I love the fit but the fabric quality is disappointing.
I am 5'2" 120lbs. I always wear shorts or leggings but wanted to try a cute hiking pant. The XS was a little big in the waist and even tho they have an internal tie, they were loose. The length was perfect and the fabric was def quick dry. I wore them through multiple water crossings and they dried within 10 minutes. I do wish the pockets in front had a zipper. The ankle has a great drawcord to keep them snug if you choose. Keeps the critters out ha. Wish they used a similar drawcord at the waist, currently it is just a tie waist on the inside of the pant. They did stretch out a bit and were not very durable. We had a bout 8 miles of bushwhacking and they now have a bunch of snags. Adds character I suppose. Overall, they are incredibly lightweight and a good addition to your backcountry wardrobe.
Love these pants! They look better on me than then Dynama Ankle Pants 2, I like the straight leg fit. I wore them in the pouring rain for 1 hour and they dried quickly in less than 30 minutes while the rain lightened to a drizzle. I don't get hot in these while hiking in warm weather and with a pair of thermals underneath, they kept me warm enough hiking in the snow too. I wore them on a 2 day backpacking trip and they did get scratch up a bit because I was climbing over big fallen logs. Probably not the most durable pair of pants but good enough for regular hiking and traveling. Would love to get a 2nd pair in the Clay color if that goes on sale :)
I loved these pants the moment I put them on. They fit perfectly, had perfect stretch/mobility, great waistband and height, and were so comfortable I was ready to live in them and buy them in every color. Not only that but they looked great and could be dressed a little up and yet be ready for a hike. Unfortunately I returned these after one wear. I wore them for a three hour car ride and wound up with a decent hole at an inner seam before I even got to my destination. I was so sad to return them and still may try a new pair in case it was a fluke, but I’ve seen other reviews about quality so I’m not feeling confident. So bummed.
Bought this for on trail hiking this summer to thwart some bugs and minor ankle scraping if I pulled my socks up high when needed. But then, I took this on a three-day, 30+ mile backpacking loop that involved 4-5 hours of bushwhacking through thorn bushes and I was terrified that the fabric wouldn't survive. It did. Not without some small pulling, but surprisingly well. Definitely will make it out for the full season and then hopefully then some. The waistband fit was perfect with my hip belt (an issue others noted).
These pants were easy to pull on, and looked good, but after one hike they were covered with pills and snags. They literally stuck to the picnic bench I sat on, and picked up every bit of moss and debris that you he'd them. I did very little scrabbling over rocks, but these pants look like I had owned them for a decade after 1 three mile waterfall hike.
I bought these pants last week and the morning after I bought them I noticed a big, two inch tear in the seam on the leg. The pants were a loose fit so I know they didn't rip because of that. I liked the breathability of the pants but that was not enough. By the end of the day (I didn't bring an extra pair of pants so I had to wear them) the tear was about 4 inches and there were other abrasions on the pants that I had to pull loose threads from. I was really looking forward to using these pants for the next few months with my summer hikes and climbs but now I cannot enjoy them, nor would I recommend them.
Low quality, high comfort. Bought these pants for a US-Autralia trip to wear on flights for comfort. Wore them with backpack to get to and from the airport, and the pants are covered with pills where the bag hit. I would expect much better from a "mountain"/hiking gear. Disappointing for the price. Though they were comfortable, I don't see being able to wear them again.
