Lots of room for my fupa. I look like a hobbit in them. I thought for 100 I spent they might be a bit more flattering but at least I’ll be in the mountains and my ruggedness will match my new 100 dollar fupa gimmlie pantsies.. I shall call them..my precious.
I'm really happy with the fit of these pants--form-fitting but not right, with just enough flare at the bottom to create a nice shape. These pants are a little smaller than the ankle version. I got both in size Medium and the ankle pants fit slightly looser. I'm 5'3", 27" waist and the medium was a perfect fit on my legs, the waist was a little big but not an issue and I wouldn't want to size down. Can't speak to their quality when it comes to climbing or hiking in bad weather, etc. but I'm happy with these upon first try.
These pants are extremely comfortable and perfect for trail or town, as they don't look as "technical" as many hiking pants. There's a zippered pocket on one side that's large enough for keys, ID, etc., but doesn't accommodate an iPhone. The drawstring at the waist is inside the pants, so remains inconspicuous. I'm 74 years old, about 5'6" tall, between 144-148 pounds, slender (aside from tummy) and bought a large. Would definitely recommend!
Very comfortable... can do anything in these pants. They are quick dry.
Absolutely love these! I wasn't sure but figured I would give them a try. They are now so much a staple that I am buying in more colors. The waistband is so comfortable and sits at a great height. The side zip pocket is perfect. I kind of get what people are saying about the side pockets but to be honest I don't care-I don't want to put my phone in my side pocket anyways as it always tends to pull my pants down. They are just the right weight to be warm but not overly so and can easily pull off a day in the office, outside on the trail or my new favorite travelling. The UV protection is a total bonus. Really well thought out, flattering and comfortable pant. I couldn't be happier
These are great for travel & hiking in the city or on the trail. I love the longer length with the ability to cinch the ankles. The fabric is lightweight, and the fit is just loose enough to add a base layer underneath if needed, with a flattering and comfortable fit.
These pants are an excellent choice for multipurpose activities. Great for traveling, dinner and camping but not really for heavy backcountry backpacking as certain high rub areas do tend to pile a bit. I do find it soil and odor resistant. If wrinkled after a long time in your suitcase, just air it out and then wear it. I noticed with your body’s humidity it will start smoothing out to be presentable in public. They do run a little large but there is a draw string. Enjoy the different colors.
I’m 5’4”. The previous *SHORT* version of Dynama pants fit me just right. (I love the cinched cuff for bike riding, a feature that pants from other brands lack.) Unfortunately Mountain Hardwear did away with the Short length. The pants now come in one length only— and they’re too long, ballooning at the cinched cuff. You’ve lost a loyal customer. 😕
I own 5 pairs of these pants and I loved them but then they didn’t offer them for several years. I was excited when they came back. I recently bought another pair and but they have changed the sizing and added an internal waist tie. They are definitely bigger than the previous version and I find myself wondering if I should order an XS. I am 5’5 128 athletic build. A small always was perfect. I like the pants a bit more fitted as I am an avid hiker and I don’t want loose clothing when I am hiking or such. XS seems like it would be a bit small. I am going to order one and see.
The Dynama pants are the most comfortable and flattering pant I have ever owned. Perfect for work, walking, hiking, travel, and dresses up for casual dinners out. I’m still wearing an olive green pair and a forest green pair from a few years ago. They have minor pilling after many washes. I like the new khaki color and black best. I wish MH still carried an olive green and a true navy, maybe a chili color, too. Pockets are deep enough for my phone. The fit is flattering. Stretch allows hiking in the mountains and is forgiving of weight loss or gain.
